Story
I am a stray that was brought in as "semi-feral" but I do like pets but you have to let me decided if I want you to pick me up or not. I would make a great couch decoration or I might possibly catch a mouse or two in your barn. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
Meet Pickled Ginger, the enigmatic female feline whose inner circle may be small, but for those fortunate enough to be included, her love knows no bounds. With a quiet confidence that speaks volumes, Pickled Ginger navigates life on her own terms, finding solace in the tranquility of her peaceful abode. In Pickled Ginger's ideal world, simplicity reigns supreme. All she asks for is a fun cat tower to perch upon, a cozy cat bed to curl up in, some delectable cat food to savor, and perhaps a sunny spot to bask in the warmth of the sun's rays. With these simple pleasures, she finds contentment and joy in the quiet moments of introspection.Pickled Ginger's confidence in all things feline is evident in every graceful movement she makes. While she may not seek out the company of others, she is more than happy to share her space with fellow feline companions who understand the value of silence and solitude. However, when it comes to dogs, Pickled Ginger prefers to keep her distance, finding their exuberance and constant barking to be a bit overwhelming for her refined sensibilities. For Pickled Ginger, a serene adult-only home is the perfect setting in which to thrive. With her quiet demeanor and unwavering self-assurance, she brings a sense of peace and harmony to any environment she graces. If you're seeking a companion who values tranquility above all else, look no further than Pickled Ginger. With her gentle presence and quiet grace, she promises to fill your home with love, warmth, and the comforting embrace of silent companionship. Please apply at www.bossypawsrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $85.00Est DOB: 06/23/23

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet, Renee was surrendered by her family when she was no longer convenient.  She's a sweet, chunky and loving girl.   She has a great personality and wants the love of a new human. Renee will jump right in your lap if you come to visit her at the Adoption Center.   She is now looking for her new forever family and is waiting on your call.  She's been at the Cat Rangers Center for a while and dreams of having her own home soon. Renee would do best as an only kitty.        Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please note: All CatRangers cats and kittens are spayed or neutered as a part of their adoption package, which also includes testing for feline aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (Felv), age appropriate vaccines, flea and other parasite treatments and a microchip. If you adopt a young kitten that is not old enough for surgery, we will schedule a surgery appointment after the adoption. Special breed descriptions listed in our kitty¹s profiles are based on information we have about their other family members when available, as well as traits that match those breeds. Most of our cats and kittens are mixed breeds unless specified otherwise. How our Adoption Process Works: We take loving care to help match the right kitty with the right family.  1. Ideally identify a couple of kitty candidates on our website, use the advanced search capability to find what you need.  You can also tell our team what you are looking for and they will help with suggestions.  If you are seeing our kitties on an adoption website you may want to pop on over to www.catrangers.org where we often have even more pictures. 2. Fill out an application online at catrangers.org. Once we have an application our adoption team can work with you to arrange appointments for either virtual or in person meetings with candidate kitties.  Kittens are kept in foster homes to make sure they are being properly socialized.  Visits may be virtual, at foster's home or at the CatRangers Center in Buford. 3. Our adoption team conducts a brief phone call with you and later, a virtual home visit, to make sure you are fully prepared for your new kitty. Our team also checks with your vet and personal references.   (We really want to you and our kitty to have the very best chance for a lifetime of loving success.) 4. Once application is approved and adoption fee is paid, we reserve the kitty you have selected. The adoption fee includes all vaccines up to the time of adoption. Kitties have been Felv/FIV tested, treated for fleas and parasites, and have been microchipped. Your adoption fee includes a spay/neuter if your selected kitty has not already been altered. Some kitties are very popular and you need to move quickly to select those you are interested in and get through the process for your first choice as a furever friend. However, please do be patient with our volunteer team. And while you are on our website, if you are interested in volunteering or fostering, please fill out applications! About CatRangers CatRangers rescues kitties that are facing imminent danger such as euthanasia in animal control facilities or risk of abandonment. Story
Abby was adopted in winter of 2009 from an acquaintance whose cat had kittens, which puts her at 14.5 years old now. She grew up for the first year of her life with a dog friend in our apartment but has since not spent any time around other pets. She has been an indoor cat 100% of the time with no medical problems. She is a very loving cat to people she knows but takes some time warming up to new people. She has had no experience with children other than the occasional visit from nieces. She is seeking a loving home for a senior cat to live her last few years. She needs a good lap to nuzzle up next to and loving hands for pets and nudges.

Story
Hi! I'm Mable. I'm a month and a half old and about 2 IBs. I was found abandoned in the parking lot of a nursing home, but I've made some friends who have taken me in until I can find my forever home. I wasn't feeling very good at first but now I've been eating regularly and I've been to the vet so I have lots of energy! I want a home with lots of cuddles and lap time but also people who will play with me! I am scared of big dogs but may be able to make friends with one who is calm won't chase me. --- Mable will need more shots (including rabies) in another month and she will be spayed in about two weeks. These are requirements for the adoption and she will not be sent home without getting fixed! Please contact us to arrange for an application to be sent your way. We truly hope you can find a loving, furry, friend in Mable. I've raised a lot of kittens as a humane society foster volunteer and she is truly a gem. Such a sweetheart.
