Meet Pearl! This pearl of a girl is a lovely Calico sweetie and aspiring massage therapist who loves to make biscuits on her blankies. Now Pearl has found herself without a home due to no fault of her own. A kind neighbor took Pearl in to keep her warm and safe, and now Summit Dog Rescue is stepping in to help her find a warm, loving home where we feel she's got the potential to be the best kitty ever. Pearl is a bit shy at first with strangers (normal with kitties), but with patience and love she warms up and will be your best snuggly lap warmer! We're looking for a good adopter here in Colorado to make her safe. We will wait to have her see our vet before we adopt her out. We have had Dougie since he was born. His pregnant mamma showed up at our doorstep. Even though we already had three other cats, we decided to keep Dougie and Mama as indoor cats. They have always been the best of friends, doing everything together all day every day for the last five years. Dougie is such a sweetie. He loves to be held, give sweet little squeaks, and snuggle while you watch TV. However a few months ago, Dougie started attacking Mama. Some of the attacks were serious, causing injuries on Mama. We did all of the stuff that you're supposed to do. We had EXTENSIVE health tests done on both cats, all results were normal. We have Feliway all over the house, added litter boxes, etc. We have kept them separate for a few months hoping that a reintroduction might be possible. However, there have been a couple of occasions where Dougie gets out and once again goes right to attacking Mama. He has always been great with humans and cats, it's just aggression towards Mama.
