Layla was born in Feb.2025. She has been with us since Summer of 2025. We have 2 dogs. One dog is fine with her, and the other dog will just continually bark everytime she sees her and because of this the dog stays in a bedroom with the door shut pretty much all day. We've tried all types of different things to see if things could change but they just arent changing. We have 2 older dogs, 13 and 12, and maybe we shouldnt have brought a kitten in. I just want Layla to have a good home because she is very loveable. She still plays like a kitten. She loves plastic bottle caps, and hiding in paper bags. She's never had an accident.

Two young women approached the AALOC front door and rang the doorbell. With only one team member working that afternoon handling all the animals’ needs she was unable to respond immediately. When no one answered quickly enough the two women left the box with five precious female kittens and drove away. We are currently maxed out on space but how can you turn your back on these sweet little babies that no one cares about? We named these adorable, female cats after perfumes. If you’ve ever owned a cat, you know healthy cats smell delicious. They constantly groom themselves to keep their fur clean. Cats also use smell as their primary sense for identifying people and objects. Felines have over 200 million odor sensors in their nose. Compare this to humans who have a mere five million. Cats can smell more than 14 times better than we can so always be conscious of the smell of scented litter, candles or other items/people that might upset your cat. Besides, we think Estee, Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Tabu are very upscale cats. And we know they all need and deserve great forever homes. It was the very worst time to be abandoned: Lily was pregnant and ready to give birth. Luckily, she was brought to AALOC and gave birth to her precious litter of four kittens, one male and three females, in the safety of our shelter. Born just before Easter Sunday, the male was named Peter and the females Cadbury, Jellybean and Peep. Lily is a stunningly beautiful calico cat. Her markings are quite unique: Lily has a pure white chest and front and back legs, but the rest of her body is a variegated calico color. She has a cute pink button nose and golden eyes. Lily is friendly but timid, and we feel she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home. Please submit an application to adopt Lily at www.AALOC.org. This sweet kitten was found in a local neighborhood by a compassionate person who could not just look the other way. It was apparent Zuzu, as he was named, needed someone to care for him so the individual brought Zuzu to AALOC. Zuzu is a tricolor male calico kitten with steel grey eyes and a pink button nose and all the right features to make you fall in love with him. He is playful, sweet, bouncy, curious and funny, all rolled up as an adorable and endearing soft ball of fur. I adopted Oliver from a shelter when he was a kitten, and now he is 4 years old. Oliver does not get scared around people, and he is goofy, sweet, and easy to take care of. Best of all, he gets along with other cats, dogs, and children. However, just this past year, I developed a chronic cough and asthma that is worsened due to my allergic reaction to cats. I hope that he can find a home where he is properly cared and provided for :)

This is Daisy, she is a sweet and loveable 4 year old Kitty. She loves to snuggle and lay by your side for hours, my son can vouch for this. She is playful and affectionate. My son adopted her at 6 months old from the Orange County animal shelter and has had her ever since, he has been her only owner. He kept daisy at his mom's house since he split time between her house and mine and my wife's. Due to unforeseen circumstances he now has to live with us full time, which we love!! But unfortunately my wife is allergic to cats and we need to find Daisy a new loving home. Daisy is currently staying with my son in his room, but it's not fair to her to just be in one room. He is heartbroken to have to give her up, but will be comforted if he knows she will be going to a good home. I posted this a year ago and Daisy is still with us, same situation. We just want to find her a loving home.
