Hello my name is Velvet! Black Velvet! And just like velvet I am smooth and soft and comforting. I purr the minute you run your hand along the softness of my fur. But when I play, look out! I play like no one's watching! As soon as that fishing pole with the funny bird that doesn't fly very well comes out I catch that bird and run with it! And when I'm done, I'm smooth and soft as Velvet again. I will comfort you and keep you warm in the cold winter months. Just try me, I'll be your lap cat if you only ask my foster mom! Tell her how great you'll be and how much you want me and I will make you happy. I promise!

What would the humans say about me? Well, first of all, just look at my face! I think they'd say, isn't she a pretty kitty? Doesn't she look just like a Picasso painting? I think that's why they named me Picassa. I don't know even know what a Picasso painting is, but the way they say that, I just know it's something good! What they forget is that I'm not just a pretty face! I'm pretty all over! I was born that way but in a not so good place. I could have been eaten by coyotes or run over by a car before they brought me here to a place called foster care. Here I don't have to hide in bushes and get to lay on soft cushions and eat yummy food! But like a princess in a tower, I'm looking out at the world from only one room. I like being inside but if I'm to keep my girlish figure I'm going to need more room to exercise! I don't do zoomies anymore as that's just for babies, but I still like to watch birds from a window and catch that bird at the end of a stick, and I'm really, really good at that! Want to see? I could show you but first you'll have to ask my foster mom if you could have me. If you tell her how great my life with you could be, I'm sure she could be convinced. Would you please? Born 5/1, they have been in foster care getting socialized after being rescued from an outside feral colony. Ginger is a beautiful tortie and is a work in progress. She's spicy, curious and sits back and observes everything. Mattie is a tabico and is very sweet, gentle and mellow. Teddy is a grey tabby male. He's friendly, outgoing and a lover boy. Home to Home Program Contact: Allison at 209-846-4034 Boots and May are about one year old spayed females. Boots is a mostly black DSH with little white paws, and May is a beautiful calico. They are very bonded to one another and would love to go to a home together, but if that's not possible they would be able to go separately. They are both friendly and social, and have a sweet and calm demeanor. They like to be held and love to purr. They are good with other cats, great with children, and have been around small dogs. They were strays in the neighborhood, and were rescued when they were both pregnant. They raised their kittens together, and they have all found homes. I adopted Billie (Tabby, 3) and Vi (Black, 4) in November 2022 from Bradshaw Animal Shelter. These two ladies are super cute and I have loved having them. They are both very friendly and will usually be in whatever room people are in.They don't always love being held, but they love pets and will beg for them. Unfortunately, life circumstances required that I move back in with my parents, who already have several cats. We tried to make it work, but the cats just don't get along, and the stress has caused them (especially Billie) to have accidents. I think an ideal home for them would have no other cats, however they do like my mom's dog. Billie tends to have some separation anxiety, so it might be best if her new parents are home more often than not.

Simba is a stray that I’ve been feeding. He’s very affectionate and will climb right in your lap and cuddle with you. I wish I could keep him but I already have multiple cats and cannot take him in. If anyone wants to adopt him and keep him as an indoor only cat please let me know!

Bob is 1 of 3 kittens that a young community cat from my mom’s apartment complex had on 8/1/24. My elderly mom has been caring for the kittens and is no longer able to as she is very allergic to them and also cannot afford to. The local shelters and rescues are full, even if we were able to pay a surrender fee, there is simply no room. We’re just looking for good homes for them so we don’t have to put them outside where they may make more unhoused kitties. We learned that you can get them fixed for free through the SPCA community cat program but are not able to get it done ourselves. Also, “tabby” is just my best guess on the breed. The first photos are of him (and his siblings, Mattie/orange and Molly/black, who are also up for adoption) at about 6 weeks old and the last photo is of him the other day at about 13 weeks old. He is sweet, also playful and cuddly with his mom and siblings. They eat Purina cat chow and Temptations treats.
