* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Meet Lala! Background: owned a warehouse in Los Angeles. He had trapped her to go to the shelter. We didn't know if she was friendly or feral but offered to keep her out of the shelter system where she wouldn't have fared well if feral. She turned out to be a very grateful little girl who is vocal and likes to tell you all about it. She does have a little bit of a "calico side" to her. Lala is very playful, full of curiosity, great with other cats, comes when she is called, loves pets and doesn't mind being held. She's such a wonderful little girl, we just love her. Kids: Does best with older, mature kids (due to calico side) Cats: She does great with all cats & kittens Dogs: She's never been around dogs * Date of Birth: April 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: Tabico (Calico+Tabby Mix) * Eye Color:Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * SNAP Tested FELV/FIV Results: Negative/Negative * Microchipped: Found Animals * Flea Treated * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Cullen * Ask About Our Adopt-A-Pair: it's a program designed to keep siblings & best friends together! Adoption applications receive priority over inquiries. * Adopt-A-Pet Inquiry Forms: To avoid any confusion, the inquiry form is a brief email form if you have questions. It does not start the adoption process. FACT: Did you know 80-90% of the cats in the shelters are from the streets? Please help support your local TNR (Trap.Neuter.Return.) groups who are on the streets making a difference by stopping the overwhelming number of litters being born. Please consider fostering with us to save more lives. Always remember to Sterilize....Don't Euthanize!

* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Meet our adorable little Tamiya (Tah-me-ya)! Tamiya loves to play and be sweet-talked. She really enjoys her wet food, snuggling up in a soft blanket and watching a movie with you. She is goofy with her toys, is very sweet and a little bit on the shy side at first. She is not big on fosters or kittens and really wants her own person. She would be great as a single cat or with a mellow fellow that will let her be herself. She is a very sweet soul in a fur coat. Tamiya is: * Color: Torbie (Tabby+Tortoiseshell Combo) * Spayed * Vaccinated * Microchipped * Combo Tested: Negative for FELV/FIV * Flea Treated * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Sisal, Cardboard, Carpeting * Best Friend: Hobbs ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Sweet little Salt is one of our ultimate favorite girls! She was living at a Target on a parking lot with her mom, Target. A feeder had taken care of them for years, gotten them both fixed, found homes for their kittens and then never tried to find these girls their own homes off the streets. We met her through several calls for help from the concerned community. They were living under dumpsters and Target (the store) had threatened to remove them. We went and trapped in the rain to get these girls to safety. Target was several years older and we had to euthanize her due to a failing liver. Salt, however, is healthy and thriving. She needs a dental and a few teeth removed, but who wouldn't at her age? We will take care of this and have an appointment, but we really want her in a home asap and while we wait for her appointment. Salt is a wonderfully kind, gentle soul who loves belly rubs, lots of pets and a hammock. She loves buckets or boxes with fluffy blankets and you'll find her napping in the sunshine soaking up the rays. She does enjoy a good scratch on a tall, sisal post...but most of all, she really enjoys curling up next to you with an arm around her. We would love to find Salt a permanent home and/or a temporary foster so she can enjoy her senior years. She does not like dogs and is good with other cats as long as they're not dominant or alpha personalities. Salt is now: * Spayed * Vaccinated * SNAP Test Results: *FELV Negative *FIV Negative * Microchipped * Flea Treated: Revolution * Dewormed: Droncit Triple Wormer * Litterbox Trained: Open Box * Litter Preference: All-Natural Unscented Litter * Scratch Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
Meet CELIE. In December, we pulled this stunning calico off the SEAACA kill list, where she had landed after surviving being hit - and dragged - by a car. The incident left her with a crushed pelvis, road rash, and extensive degloving injuries (areas of missing skin) throughout her hind quarters and tail. To say that this young lady was in a world of hurt would be an understatement. After 21 days in the hospital, we finally got to meet Celie face-to-face yesterday, and believe us when we tell you that THIS CAT IS AN ABSOLUTE LOVE. Despite all the trauma she has endured, she wants nothing more than to lie on her back and soak up all the belly rubs and chin scratches her foster can deliver - so much so that it was a challenge to get any photos of her upright. It is going to be a little while before Celie is available for adoption - her pelvic fractures and superficial wounds are still healing and she is on strict crate rest for the foreseeable future - but when she is ready, you are definitely going to want this cat. Like her namesake from The Color Purple, she is tough as nails and resilient as hell but has a heart of gold that only wants to love. Born 12/13/21.

Story
This beautiful little girl was just about 4 months old when she was found by one of our volunteers behind an apartment building. She had been born to a feral mother who was never caught. The volunteer was able to scoop up Patches, who had learned to be very wary of people, due to the dangers of living outside. Fortunately, we got her into a wonderful foster home where she has begun to blossom, and realizes that people are nothing to be afraid of! She now lays next to her foster mom and enjoys getting petted. She also stayed in the living room while they had 3 visitors, making a total of 6 people and she did not go hide. She even has a best bud, Bean, who is very friendly and the two of them have lots of fun together! We would prefer for them to be adopted together. You can see Bean on this site, too. Or go directly to our website where you can see even more of them! Please submit the adoption application to speed up the screening process in order to meet this sweet duo. Born 7/1/23.

Story
Date of Birth: 4/1/2017 Poor Coco was taken to a high-kill animal shelter by her family, who said she was a mean cat (she isn't!). She was pulled from the shelter at the last minute before she was to be euthanized. She had a full blood/urine panel and it does indicate early renal disease. She has had two blood/urine panels done already, and the second one was better than the first, so with good food and good care, she could be fine for a very long time. She's eating well and she is a sweetheart. She loves her catnip and loves to play. She would do great in a home with no other pets and no young children If you are interested in adopting from Cat Posse, please visit our website, www.catposse.org and fill out our application on this page https://www.catposse.org/adoption. Story
Date of Birth (approximate): 5/16/22 Bunny was found as a stray cat with her two kittens (J.R. and Littles) by a good samaritan near Edwards Air Force Base. She took them in and started feeding them and her children played with them and got them all used to being held. She contacted us for help as she already had animals and couldn't afford to take on 3 more. We sent a volunteer up to retrieve them from her, set them up with appointments to get spayed/neutered and tested for feline leukemia and FIV (all negative for both!), and microchipped. They have also been vaccinated and are all ready to go to their new homes. We are hoping they will get adopted by the end of the year so they can start enjoying life with their forever families. Story
Miki is lovely, lazy, and unbothered. In the mornings, when I start making noise, she yawns her way over to the living room to do her stretches. Sometimes she slithers around on the rug, trying to scratch her back. She's not a kitten anymore, and is quiet and relaxed, but is still young enough to enjoy strings and bells as toys. Being a house-cat, she is very neat and tidy with her litter and is not tempted by the outdoors. Miki is not at all shy around people, which suggests to me she may do well with other pets too. My brother met Miki over a year ago at an adoption center, where she was believed to have been lost by her first family. I was fostering her temporarily while my brother moved, but he's become unable to continue caring for her. We love her very much but she deserves a long-term home. <3

Story
Cali (A5625825) and Rusty (A5625827) were surrendered to the Care Center by their owner on May 14. Understandably, they are frightened to land in a shelter after being in the only home they’ve ever known. We hope our post will find them their special human who will take them home and love them forever. Of course we would like to see them adopted together since they are possibly siblings and are very bonded, but as long as they each end up in a permanent, loving home, that’s what truly matters.   Cali and Rusty are… 2-years-old Both about 10 lbs. Story
** COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Shyla was trapped at Trader Joe’s in Monrovia with her siblings Natalia & Liam. We believe they were callously dumped with their mom in the back alleyway and illegally abandoned. Mom thought she did a good job of hiding them in the warehouse while searching for food, but during the busy day, she couldn't get to them until the store closed at night. We got the call for help and trapped all three kittens for fostering until they were social and ready for adoption. Shyla really wants her own person to love and she will make someone very happy and loved. We would love to see her in a home where she can blossom. Shyla loves to play. * Date of Birth: Sept 2019 (approx) * Breed/Color: DSH Dilute Tortie * Eye Color: Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * FELV/FIV Combo Tested: Negative (Both) * Microchipped * Flea Treatment * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: All Natural Rope Sisal or Cardboard ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
Thank you for looking at and bringing awareness to our group out rescuing cats & kittens strictly from the streets. * COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Say hello to handsome Cullen! Cullen was found in Glendora, in the middle of the street by a postal worker. She was trying to shoo him out of the street so he wouldn't get hit when surprisingly, one of our prior adopters saw what was happening and lent a helping hand. The kitten ran underneath a parked car (our adopters) and he jumped into the wheel well. They could not get Cullen to come out, so they had the car towed to their local mechanic. He removed the wheel and reached in to remove the kitten for our adopter, who then contacted us. He was scooped up by one of our volunteer fosters and he has grown into a wonderful little guy! Cullen is a beautiful marbled or mackerel tabby who is friendly, outgoing and curious. He likes to be held and of course, loves to play all the time with his best friend Lala. We'd love to see them adopted together because he will need a buddy to play with. He enjoys being around other cats and will be occupied while you are at work, sports or school! He is of course named after Edward Cullen of Twilight! Kids: He is good with older, mature kids Cats: He takes a few days to acclimate, but then he is good with other cats who are tempered and playful.
