Several years ago, the Cat Club lost a long-time member who always maintained the #1 female in his life was his cat, Cali. We found a wonderful home for Cali, which unfortunately ended when her adopter entered assisted living recently. So, Cali is once again seeking a human companion. This kitty was showered with love her whole life and, as a result, she is very trusting and affectionate in return. Cali is a lovely calico, with soft multicolor fur and big greenish eyes. A friendly lapcat lady who likes people, Cali has also gotten along fine with dogs, cats, and children. She's been vet-checked, she's up-to-date on all her shots, and she's a healthy 14-year-old. Cali enjoys pets and snuggling, playing with wands and toys, and a pinch of catnip now and then. She's a very sweet laid-back lady cat just hoping to love again. WATCH MY VIDEO, and then, have I got a story for you. But first, hello, lovely humans! I’m Medley, a beautiful dilute calico or maybe tortie with a coat as vibrant as my personality. I was named for the "medley" of soft colors in that coat. If you’re looking for a chill companion, you’ve just found her! With a reputation for being the most well-behaved kitty around, I’m the perfect blend of playful and serene. I’ve had quite the journey, transitioning from the streets of San Bernardino to the cozy comforts of my foster home. I was at an abandoned house that once hosted 60 cats, and most all died from panleukopenia, aka, panleuk. But, I was healthy except for a chronic anemia that Feline the Love treated for six months, and I didn’t have much energy. That was almost two years ago, and I'm rockin'! (It's hard to live outside with sick cats, little food, and trying to survive. Right?) My health records are complete and always available to show how healthy and grateful I am! Voila! Now, I’m a bundle of energy, and I’m ready to find my forever family! I adore lounging by the window, watching the world go by, but I promise—no more outdoor adventures for me. I’m all about that indoor life! While I’m a low-key gal and not much of a chatterbox, I do love gentle hand sniffs before you pet me. Trust me, back scratches are the ultimate treat! My purr, is, well, the BEST. I don't meow a lot (I know you like to focus!) but when I do, it is SOOO cute, like me! I’d thrive best as your one-and-only feline or with another laid-back kitty by my side. I’m not a fan of drama, but if there’s a dashing boy cat around, I might just take a liking to him! She had surgery requiring a pin in her leg, followed by lots of cage rest & now is completely healed. She loves to play with other animals and toys. However, because she had to be on cage rest for so long, she's now a little skittish around humans. She needs someone to work with her on socialization and help her come back out of her shell. Pampered Pair Max and Katie are 13-year-old littermates, and a bonded pair. They have always been together and need to stay together in a new forever home. This pair were the pampered pets of a longtime Laguna Woods resident who has had to move into memory care. Max is darker and has tabby stripes; Katie is more tortie with some warm brown in her soft fur. Both have large greenish eyes. Vet-checked and current on shots, Max and Katie have been through a lot of changes, and depend on each other. They cuddle together and groom each other. Katie is more shy, and in stressful situations it seems to calm her to have Max nearby. Max is outgoing, and both are friendly. They do like petting and grooming attention from people. Both will roll over for a nice tummy rub. Max and Katie are nice laid-back cats who don't get into mischief. They're not interested in jumping on things. They both love their catnip scratcher boxes. Katie can be a talker and she often chatters to herself or to her foster. They seem content to hang out, relax, and nap, which makes them easy pets to care for and love. MYSTERY GIRL The Cat Club has a Lulu of a mystery on our hands with pretty Lulu. A resident reported a beautiful tabby at her door. Lulu's microchip led us to a woman near Los Angeles who gave Lulu to her mother, who lives in Fontana, 50+ miles away from Laguna Woods. The mother claimed that Lulu escaped and couldn’t be lured back in, so Lulu was left outside. The neighbors complained, and then Lulu suddenly disappeared. How did Lulu get from Fontana to Laguna Woods? Lulu is about 2 years old, a lovely warm brown tabby girl with lynx-style black tufts on the tips of her ears. She's friendly, a good eater, and interested in petting and playtime with her foster. She loves her wand toys and will leap into the air to catch them.
