Meet Callie! Callie is estimated to be 14 months old. We say estimated because she came to us on May 25th when she was found with her 2 siblings, her mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage. Callie and her two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done on her brother, Marty, to see what was going on. The test came back as positive for FHV (Feline Herpes Virus) which is an upper respiratory condition that will cause signs of a cold. Flareups may happen whenever something stressful comes up and being left in a dog crate at a park is probably what brought it on. It is not a serious condition, but it is contagious to other cats (not to dogs and humans) if there are signs of a cold. She has not shown any signs of a cold since then and appears perfectly healthy. A good diet, an immune strengthening supplement and a stress-free environment would be excellent for her. Callie is a little lady. She is petite like her mother Peaches and has the softest fur ever felt. She is playful with her brothers but when she has enough, she goes her own way. You can find her in their cat tree gazing out the window looking at the birdies. Callie is curious about the dog in her foster home, and we feel that with proper introduction she would do well with a small cat friendly dog. Callie is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, combo tested negative, rabies and microchipped. If you would like to know more about CALLIE, please contact her foster mom at - alikat52@yahoo.com. I found Kimmy under my car when she was a little baby, just over 4 weeks old in Houston, Texas seven years ago, and I fell in love with her and hoped I could have her forever in my life but, life is full of surprises. I am going through a very though divorce and I will be moving out of the country and returning to my home country Brazil. Since my house situation is changing and I still do not have a set place to live, I will have to find a new home for my darling Kimmy and I am looking for a cat lover that will give her all the love, I have given her all these years and that will have a quieter and more stable life than I do now. My heart hurts to be having to make this decision but I hope I can find a forever home to Kimmy where she will continually keep being the happy and loving cat that she is. She has all of her toys, brand new litter box, food and litter, it’s just almost impossible for me to take another animal with me to BR.

Holly is a lovely little lady with a heart of gold. Originally rescued by Peter Zippi as a tiny kitten at the end of 2020, Holly was adopted by a kind lady in January 2021 and was thought to have found her forever home. However, life took an unexpected turn, and after three years, Holly returned to us in January 2024. Adjusting to this change wasn't easy for Holly, but thanks to the care and support of a devoted foster home, she has truly blossomed. Initially reserved, Holly has grown into a loving and affectionate companion. She now actively seeks out love and attention, reveling in full-body massages and belly rubs. Her trust has returned, and she even follows her foster to the kitchen at mealtime, chirping with excitement and encouragement. Holly has also become comfortable with her foster's husband, allowing him to shower her with pets and affection. While there are still some hisses between Holly and the resident cat, they are making progress, and mealtime together has helped them grow closer. At just four years young, Holly's playful spirit remains intact. Though she prefers to sleep on her tree near her humans rather than on the couch with them, her presence is always felt, and her company is cherished. Holly's journey highlights the importance of patience, love, and understanding.
