PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! VANESSA FISK has had a rough life. We believe someone dumped her in our area. She found herself to our outdoor colony. We found her in our front lawn, attacked by some kind of animal. We rushed her to the vet. She has a huge scar under her fur. You cant see it at all. Meet VANESSA FISK, a beautiful six-year-old DSH Calico mix from Hemet, California, whose essence is gentle resilience wrapped in a striking coat of white, orange, and black. VANESSA FISK is a large, shy, and timid cat who has faced some challenges in her past, but she’s ready to find a loving and patient family who can help her continue to heal and blossom. VANESSA FISK is an independent soul who finds comfort in the quiet companionship of other cats. Having lived peacefully with fellow felines, she would thrive in a home with another calm and understanding cat to keep her company. Her experiences have made her a bit wary of new environments, so she’ll need a pet parent who can offer her the gentle encouragement she needs to feel safe and secure. While Vanessa hasn’t had much experience with dogs or young children, her timid nature suggests that she would do best in a calm, dog-free home where she can gradually build her confidence at her own pace. A quiet environment with adults or older children who can respect her boundaries would be ideal for this sweet girl. Vanessa’s beautiful calico markings are matched by her soft, soulful eyes that tell the story of a cat who’s ready to embrace the kindness and comfort of a loving home. With time, patience, and plenty of love, Vanessa is sure to show her new fa family just how much affection she has to give. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will appreciate your care and offer quiet companionship in return, VANESSA FISK could be the perfect addition to your family. Are you ready to give this shy but loving cat the home she needs? VANESSA FISK is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / CALICO MIX. She is about 6 years and 7 months old and is good with cats. She has never been around dogs or young children. We don't think she will do well with dogs. The vet thinks a coyote or loose dog attacked her. VANESSA FISK is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. A lady on Next Door reached out to our rescue partner and asked if she could help a kitten. She was found in a bush alone in Redondo Beach, Ca. SELENA was feisty and so small. She really was made to be a house (queen) kitty . SELENA is now ready for her FUREVER home. Meet SELENA, a cat with a personality as unique as her name. She's a master of hide and seek, often found tucked away in the most unexpected corners. Her mellow nature makes her the perfect companion for quiet evenings, yet her intelligence is evident in the way she cleverly navigates her surroundings. SELENA’s independence allows her to entertain herself, but her goofy side comes out when she's in the mood for play, making you chuckle with her sassy antics. However, don't be fooled, she has a feisty streak and isn't afraid to assert herself when necessary. Adopt SELENA and enrich your life with her multifaceted personality. SELENA does ask for pets. She actually demands them. She loves to play and will let you know she likes her can food! She is a petite little queen! She is a gorgeous little teenager. But don't take our word for it...go meet her!She is not a lap cat, but we can see her potential! She has lived indoors with her foster siblings. SELENA is a CALICO / DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR MIX. She is about 2 years old and 11 months old and is good with cats. In her foster home, she was around other kittens and older cats. She would probably do better as the queen of her house. She does better with sweet calm cats. She's afraid of confrontational cats. She has never been around children and is not quite used to dogs. SELENA is currently located at a foster home in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. PEPPER and LEO have had a rough life already. They were from a Lawndale colony of outdoor cats. The people are super nice. The trapper TNR’D 6 cats that were all adults. PEPPER and LEO were too small to return. They deserved a chance to be adopted. And the fact that they had 3 older siblings that were killed by the neighbors running them over was the reason we saved them. Meet PEPPER, a charming 2 year old Black Calico from sunny Lawndale, California, who knows how to make an entrance! This delightful little lady is a swirl of midnight black and soft amber patches, creating a unique coat that’s as captivating as her personality. PEPPER is equal parts sweetness and sass—she’s that friend who always has something to say, greeting you with friendly meows and an endearing purr or two as she shares her thoughts on the day. If you’re looking for a social kitty, PEPPER’s your girl. She’s a total chatterbox, and her lively "conversations" will keep you entertained. Her communication style is as varied as her fur pattern: she’ll let you know when it’s time for attention, when she’s ready for some cozy lap time, or especially when she’s hoping for her favorite treat—Churru! Oh, how she loves that tasty little reward, and she’s sure to look at you with those soulful eyes until she gets it. PEPPER is a certified lap cat, with a deep affection for pets and snuggles. She’s happiest curled up right beside you, making herself at home on your lap as she soaks up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. She adores human companionship, but she’s also a fabulous companion for other cats, blending into a multi-cat family with ease and grace. PEPPER’s friendly, easygoing nature helps her get along wonderfully with her fellow felines—she’ll be more than happy to have a playmate or two! With her sweet, friendly disposition, PEPPER is a natural at bringing warmth and joy to any environment she’s in. She’s looking for a home where she can share her cuddles, her chattiness, and her love of treats with someone special. Are you ready to add a sprinkle of PEPPER to your life? This lovely Calico is ready to brighten your days with her sweet meows and endless love. To make PEPPER part of your family, apply @ Workinwhiskers.com PEPPER is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / CALICO MIX. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! TUKTIREY and her 2 siblings (TONOWARI - TSIREYA) were part of a TNR effort in Riverside, California. Our photographer TNRed all the adult cats and rescued kittens. We were asked to help and they went with one of our fosters. TUKTIREY is now ready for her "FUREVER" home. TUKTIREY is now ready for her "FUREVER" home. A calico cat is a domestic cat of any breed with a tri-color coat. The calico cat is most commonly thought of as being 25% to 75% white with large orange and black patches, however, they may have other colors in their patterns. Sometimes a variation occurs with cream and grey patches that is called a muted calico. We did name all the kittens after the new movie Avatar: The Way of Water. Meet TUKTIREY, a shy but sweet two-year-old muted calico from Riverside, California, whose gentle presence is a serene delight wrapped in a beautiful, soft blend of pastel fur. TUKTIREY, with her gentle green eyes and delicate demeanor, is the kind of companion who will quietly steal your heart. Her muted calico coat, a harmonious mix of soft grays, creams, and whispers of orange, reflects her calm and peaceful personality. TUKTIREY may be a bit reserved at first, but beneath that shy exterior lies a tender heart ready to connect. She’s the type of cat who thrives in a quiet, loving environment where she can slowly unfurl her true self. Patience is key with this gentle girl, and once she feels secure, she’ll reward her new pet companion with soft purrs and a loyal presence that can turn any house into a home. While she may start off a little cautious, TUKTIREY enjoys the company of other cats and is more than okay with pets. In fact, she’s at her best when surrounded by feline friends who bring out her playful side. Whether it’s a feather toy or a cozy nap in the sun, TUKTIREY’s gentle playfulness is a joy to behold. She gets along well with other cats, making her an excellent addition to a multi-cat household where she can feel part of a close-knit community. This sweet girl would love a family who appreciates her quiet charm and is willing to give her the time she needs to blossom. TUKTIREY is also comfortable with other pets, making her a versatile companion for a caring household looking to add a touch of tranquility to their lives. Are you ready to offer TUKTIREY the caring environment she needs to shine? This lovely muted calico is waiting for a pet parent who understands the beauty of a gentle heart and is ready to embark on a lifelong journey of quiet companionship and mutual affection. Could TUKTIREY be the sweet, serene presence your home is missing? TUKTIREY is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / MUTED CALICO MIX with the most beautiful yellow eyes. She is about 2 years 1 month old. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. KIRA YUKIMURA, her mom NATALIE MARTIN and her 4 siblings (CORA HALE, THEO RAEKEN, LIAM DUNBAR and MALIA TATE) were rescued from the a backyard. Rescue mama was called that the neighbors were not being kind to the little family. So a trapper went out and trapped the family and brought them to our rescue. With all the chaotic rescuing going on in the summer, we were not able to get out kittens into our regular clinic. We were offered a different clinic and we made the appointments. To our dismay 7 of the 18 cats sent to this clinic ended up in the emergency room. KIRA YUKIMURA was one of them. Her incision opened and were were able to save her. Our little KIRA YUKIMURA has been through so much tragedy at such a young age. She deserves a wonderful home that will love her and want to give her a TRUE FUREVER home. She is your typical crazy kitten. She loves to play and play and eat something and then play again. She absolutely loves her wet food. She will need a young cat at home to play with. We will not do the adoption if no other young cat is in her current home. KIRA YUKIMURA is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / MUTED CALICO MIX. She is about 6 months old and is good with cats. Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. MELISSA MCALL, and her 3 daughters (LYDIA MARTIN, TRACY STEWART and ALLISON ARGENT) were rescued from the shelter. Rescue mama was at the shelter picking up kittens for one of her fosters when she saw MELISSA MCALL and her family. They were so sickly looking. Needless to say, the rescue mama picked them all up. She could not leave them to their doom. MELISSA MCALL is your typical diluted calico. They are said, for example, to have sweet, endearing personalities. The cat’s disposition is also considered warm-hearted, affectionate, and intelligent. Many Calico breeds get along well with children and other pets too. The Calico personality is also thought to be quirky. They are said to have a sassy but loving temperament, enjoying active play as much as purring in their owners’ laps. And Miss MELISSA MCALL can be sassy and sweet. We think she is still developing her personality. MELISSA MCALL is DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR / DILUTED CALICO MIX. Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. MCFADDEN his mom BRISTOL and his younger siblings from a previous litter (LACY, LA VETA and EDINGER) were all living in a yard in Santa Ana, Ca. They were all named after the streets in Santa Ana. BRISTOL was actually the neighbor's cat. The man that initially saved all of them was feeding them outside. She initially had her first litter and that's when EDINGER was born. We weren't told exactly what happened to his siblings. Then she had a second litter and that's when he decided to reach out for help. A local independent rescuer trapped mama cat and kittens. Then they called us to come get them. These poor guys were so skinny and dirty. Scared and unsocial. And when MCFADDEN came to our rescue he was adopted as a 3 month old kitten To our dismay, he was dumped at the shelter. We reached out to his family and never located them. Meet MCFADDEN, a charming three-year-old tuxedo cat from Santa Ana, California, whose heart is as warm as his glossy black and white coat. MCFADDEN is a friendly feline who can often be found striking up a conversation with anyone who will listen. Whether it's a soft meow in the morning or a chatty greeting when you come home, he's got plenty to say! MCFADDEN's affectionate nature makes him a delightful companion, especially if you're someone who appreciates the soft purrs and gentle nuzzles of a loving cat. He's particularly fond of canned food, and his enthusiasm for mealtime is both adorable and a bit of a spectacle. You'll see his eyes light up in anticipation as soon as he hears the can open! While he might be a bit shy at first, give him a little time and MCFADDEN will be weaving between your legs and hopping onto your lap. His tuxedo markings give him an air of sophistication, and he carries himself with the grace of a seasoned gentleman. Imagine spending your evenings relaxing with MCFADDEN by your side, sharing stories of your day as he responds with his charming meows. His presence can turn any ordinary moment into a special one, filled with joy and the comforting sound of purring. If you're ready to give MCFADDEN a forever home where he can continue to share his love and stories, please find the information on how to apply down below. Could MCFADDEN be the talkative, affectionate companion you've been looking for? MCFADDEN is a DOMESTICATED SHORT HAIR TUXEDO. He is about 3 years and 5 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around children. And we don't know if he has ever been around dogs. MCFADDEN is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! TOM is a very lucky guy. He showed up at a lady's house that already had cats. He would show up every morning and the lady felt bad for him and would feed. She noticed that the other cats in the neighborhood were beating him up. It wasn't long before he was inside the house living with the lady. Unfortunately, her cats did not like him. So we were asked to take him. Meet TOM, a charming feline with a unique blend of traits. He's independent and brave, confidently exploring his surroundings and asserting his space. Yet, he's also shy and mellow, needing a little time to warm up to new people. TOM's intelligence is evident in the way he problem-solves, whether it's figuring out how to reach a toy or learning the routines of his environment. His sense of humor shines through in his playful interactions with other cats. Despite his shy nature around humans, once he trusts you, you'll be privy to his funny antics and quick wit. TOM's balanced personality makes him the perfect companion for those who appreciate a cat who can entertain himself but also enjoys the company of his feline friends. Adopt TOM and discover the joy of sharing your home with a cat who is as smart and funny as he is brave and independent. TOM is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR TABBY MIX. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. MJ and her sisters (FRANKIE and HARPER) were found in a backyard. The nice lady who had been taking care of the feral mama cat was trying to trap her and bring her inside with her kittens. Once the babies were old enough to leave mama, the kind lady took mama and got her fixed. Mama is now part of her family. Kittens came to us and now they're ready to get their new forever home! Now poor MJ has grown up in our rescue. Meet MJ, a lovable three-year-old feline who embodies the perfect blend of playful curiosity and gentle affection. Her sleek coat, paired with her watchful gaze, tells the story of a kitty who's always on the lookout for her next favorite toy or cozy box to curl up in. Though MJ might be a little shy at first, give her some time and the magic of her personality will shine through. Found as a kitten in a backyard, MJ has blossomed into a friendly companion who knows how to enjoy life's simple pleasures. One of her great loves is CHURU, a creamy and irresistible treat that brings out her enthusiastic side. Just watch her face light up when you offer her a taste! It's the perfect icebreaker to help her feel comfortable and appreciated in her new home. When it comes to playtime, MJ is a champion. She can spend hours swatting at her favorite toys or investigating a new box that’s become the latest stage for her playful antics. Boxes, big or small, are her kingdom where she reigns supreme. Whether it's curling up for a nap or plotting her next playful pounce, MJ makes every nook her throne. Her playful yet gentle nature means she's the ideal companion for anyone looking for a bit of extra joy in their life. Once she's warmed up to you, you'll find MJ to be a devoted friend who's always ready for a good cuddle or a round of playtime. With her blend of curiosity and sweetness, MJ will be your loyal confidante, bringing laughter and warmth into your home. Are you prepared to share your life with a kitty who’s got a heart as full as her playful spirit? MJ is waiting to meet someone who can offer her a cozy, loving environment where she can thrive. If you're ready to open your home to this delightful cat, reach out to us. Could MJ be your perfect match? MJ is DSH / TUXEDO MIX. She is about 3 years old and 3 months.
