Story
Maya was found abandoned at the end of a driveway in Half Moon Bay. She was in a carrier with another cat, 2 beds and bowls but no other information. Maya is about 6 years old and healthy but needed a dental which she came through like a champ! Maya's fur coloring is really unique. One side and her head and tail are beautifully colored in browns, oranges and black. Her other side is pure white. It is as if she was born before the powers that be were finished painting the other half of her body. Maya loves attention. She will let you know when she has had enough. She does like to get petted and holds up her end of a conversation. She loves to garner all the attention so it would be best if Maya was an only kitty in her home. Is your family looking for a beautiful blue-eyed princess to be a companion for your family? Maya is waiting for you. Please note: Maya would do best as an only childIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1734768108&src=aap]

Story
Meet Penny the sun goddess! I’m a pretty 14-year-old Calico with the most beautiful green eyes. I was born near Serramonte Ford in Colma, I was rescued with my mom and sister in 2011 who were adopted long ago. I’m a good girl, I use the litter box, and the scratching post. I do like to be petted-but on My terms. I spend my day at the center looking for the sun, I love basking and sleeping in the sunshine but am happy when the volunteers come in to give me attention. I am an active and incredibly smart girl but can also be quite independent. I need an experienced cat owner (I tend to favor Men) who will give me the time and patience to help adjust to a new home. I maybe alright with children 12 and over that understand the ways of cats. I prefer to be the only cat in the household. If you would be interested in meeting Penny, please fill out our online application: https://forms.gle/3CcPeeAKWwQtj1a17

Story
Maple is a sweet, shy girl who’s looking for a patient and loving home. She may take a little time to come out of her shell, but with some gentle encouragement (and a few tasty churros!), she’ll warm up to you in no time. Maple loves her quiet moments and feels most at ease in a calm environment. Once she trusts you, her gentle purrs and soft cuddles will make every moment spent together worth it. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the beauty of slow bonds and quiet afternoons. If you’re ready to give Maple the loving home she deserves, she’ll be forever grateful!

Story
Callie short for calliope , she’s 3-4 years old , I don’t believe she’s has any vaccines or anything, she has a lot of fleas and is bleeding all around her from scabs , rescued her from one of my family members that moved out left her in a room for months so she’s very timid and scared . She’s hides a lot and barely lets me touch her but when she does she’s very cuddly , I’ve had her for almost a week now and can’t keep her any longer due to my small apartment and I already have 3 cats of my own it’s hard to separate them. She’s deserves love and attention and for someone to help her become a beautiful girl. I personally feel like she’s very traumatized when I look at her and I feel like I’m out of my depth. I want her to go to someone experienced that can truly help her . I believe she has the ability to be an amazing cat like she once was when I last saw her when she was a kitten .

Story
I acquired Sassy with my partner almost 2 years ago when she was just a kitten. He had her for a few weeks before I actually met her. Since she was a kitten she loves to chase around crumbled up receipt paper, and jump really high up when playing with her. She loves to show off her fast running and jumping skills. As well as cuddling, and watching birds fly outside the window. Sassy is truly a loving, amazingly smart, sweet, and strong cat. I love to call her a panther because that’s how she looks sometimes when she’s just chilling, observing the world. When she walks, she looks like she’s walking down a runway modeling for Next Top Cat Model, lol. She will play fetch and also chase her tail around which I thought was a “dog thing”. I believe I get best of both worlds with Sassy, and I am hopeful someone will be very lucky to have her and experience the happiness she has brought into my life. I had hardwood floors, and she would run and slide, and she loved it. Super adventurous!

Story
Brothers, Dougie and Tristan were born at the college of San Mateo. They were older than the other kittens that had been trapped when they were rescued so they took longer to socialize.  Now they are love-bugs who are initially a little shy but not for long. Dougie is the shy brother while Tristan is much more outgoing. Tristan loves pets down his back while Dougie love tummy rubs. They both love to play with ribbons and get treats from your fingers. The boys are a bonded pair so want to stay together. Is yours the family for two wonderful brothers? Please note: Dougie should be adopted with a littermateIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1734768108&src=aap]

Story
Mom cat (Nellie) was rescued in a mobile home park in Moss Beach. Shortly after, she gave birth to 5 kittens. Unfortunately, one of the kittens did not survive. One of the kittens has been adopted by one of the veterinary clinics and the other 3 kittens have come to CIW. The two little girls (Jo Jo and Bailey) and one little boy (Marley) are sweet, healthy kittens. They have been spayed/neutered, started their vaccinations, Mom tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids and are microchipped. They love to play and be cuddled. They would be great indoor companions. Are you ready for a new housemate or two?
