Story
Meet Penny the sun goddess! I’m a pretty 14-year-old Calico with the most beautiful green eyes. I was born near Serramonte Ford in Colma, I was rescued with my mom and sister in 2011 who were adopted long ago. I’m a good girl, I use the litter box, and the scratching post. I do like to be petted-but on My terms. I spend my day at the center looking for the sun, I love basking and sleeping in the sunshine but am happy when the volunteers come in to give me attention. I am an active and incredibly smart girl but can also be quite independent. I need an experienced cat owner (I tend to favor Men) who will give me the time and patience to help adjust to a new home. I maybe alright with children 12 and over that understand the ways of cats. I prefer to be the only cat in the household. Story
Maple is a sweet, shy girl who’s looking for a patient and loving home. She may take a little time to come out of her shell, but with some gentle encouragement (and a few tasty churros!), she’ll warm up to you in no time. Maple loves her quiet moments and feels most at ease in a calm environment. Once she trusts you, her gentle purrs and soft cuddles will make every moment spent together worth it. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the beauty of slow bonds and quiet afternoons. If you’re ready to give Maple the loving home she deserves, she’ll be forever grateful!

Story
Maya was found abandoned at the end of a driveway in Half Moon Bay. She was in a carrier with another cat, 2 beds and bowls but no other information. Maya is about 6 years old and healthy but needed a dental which she came through like a champ! Maya's fur coloring is really unique. One side and her head and tail are beautifully colored in browns, oranges and black. Her other side is pure white. It is as if she was born before the powers that be were finished painting the other half of her body. Maya loves attention. She will let you know when she has had enough. She does like to get petted and holds up her end of a conversation. She loves to garner all the attention so it would be best if Maya was an only kitty in her home. Is your family looking for a beautiful blue-eyed princess to be a companion for your family? Maya is waiting for you. Please note: Maya would do best as an only childIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1741618910&src=aap]

Story
Pintxo (the word means little bit) is a very affectionate cat. I adopted her from my son because his fiancé is allergic. However, my cat did not like the new cat Pintxo and so they do not get along--I've tried to get them to get along but it's been almost 2 years now and I see very little improvement. Pintox is an indoor cat. Pintxo, in spite of her name, is a large cat, about 13 lbs, (she was a tiny kitten when she was named Pintxo)--she may be part Main Coon (sp?) because she also likes lots of water. She is spayed and has never had any illness and has never been sick.

Story
Stella is a very affectionate, playful and human centered cat. She enjoys a nice head scratch and belly rub. She can adjust to new environments quickly. I move quite a lot for work and she travels well by car or plane. She adjusts pretty well to the new places we stay. No behavioral issues and she is litter box trained.

Story
Tai is friendly and cuddly. She doesn't like to get picked up but does like to sit on people's lap or belly. She likes belly rubs, neck/head/ear work, and back scratching - she likes petting just about everywhere reasonable. She does her own thing and sleeps in the sun during the day, does meow lightly for lunch/dinner, and is very quick to cuddle in bed at night. Tai does do laser, string, and mouse/self play when she's safely alone (from her brother cat, see below) and explores and moves well. I think she's probably fine with another animals that don't attack her - she hisses at her brother cat (because he tackles her) but also cleans him at night. Sometimes her lower lip is pouty and it looks really funny. To summarize, her brother cat is constantly harrasing her. Since Tai is the most normal and unambiguously cuddly of the two I figure it'd be easier to find a safe home for her. Tai and Henri were sister/brother cats trapped for spay/neuter & vet care in South Brooklyn in late 2016. I adoped both of them from a animal rescue group in the beginning of 2017, and they've been living indoors with me ever since. Tai's brother cat is a bit larger and has a very active personality. He loves to chase and tackle her. I can't seem to tire him out, a few hours after play he'll go back to stalking her. This has lead to her avoiding the litter box and peeing in unfortunate places. I recently took them to the vet again, and they didn't find a UTI but agree that it sounds like it's the brother cat that's the problem. The vet has suggested behavioural counseling and psychiatric meds for the brother, but I don't want to go down that road. This has been going on too long, and Tai deserves a safe home. Tai needs to not be attacked or stalked by other animals. I think she'd do okay with other animals that don't pounce on her, except that she *loves* to watch birds with obviously murderous intent, so keep her away from them. Tai can be fairly independent, she'll usually sit in the window most of the day unless she's waiting for an offered hand for scrtiches or for food/treats. She's smart and I did teach her to hit pingpong balls for treats. Tai has had all the vaccines that the vet offered, and I believe she's not positive for FIV (I have her record at home but I'm 99% sure she isn't positive for anything like that). She was overweight about 6 months ago, but most recently she was on target for weight. She has had some FORL tooth reabsorbtion lesions. The vet said that's not necessary to deal with (since it wasn't affecting her behavior at all) but since I was trying to find her a new home I recently opted for some optional surgery and teeth cleaning to help with that. She wasn't terribly difficult to administer antibiotics to with a syringe, she's wiggly but not too bad. She has had a UTI in the past when things were really stressful around the apartment, so I make sure to put a tablespoon or two of water onto her food to make sure she's hydrated. All in all, she doesn't have any outstanding health issues except for the FORL, but that's not something that my vet said was necessary to deal with. Tai is currently living in Mountain View, CA 94040 More information & application [ts=1741618976&src=aap]

Story
Hello, I am a short-haired Torbie girl who craves love and attention. My mom was a feral and my siblings and I were rescued and semi-socialized as indoor kitties. I am shy and timid at first so please be very patient and once you earn my trust, I'll be your BFF. I'm playful, litterbox trained, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, not a picky eater and will snuggle next to you in bed. My fur is very soft and I LOVE to be brushed. I would thrive in a quiet household preferably with another mellow furry feline. Another possible situation could be in a SAFE garden or barnyard setting as I am strong and love to hunt as long as you provide me with fresh food, water daily and warm and safe place to sleep.
