Story
Margaret is a beautiful 1 yo pastel calico kitten. She was found abandoned in a field in the midwest alone, ill, & terrified. Under gentle care, she made a full recovery & became an unintended member of the family. Margaret is slow warm, but very affectionate on her own terms. She will require a patient adult to build trust. Margaret would not do well in a home with rambunctious or young children as she can be skittish with loud noises & quick movements. Margaret will enter flight or fright mode if threatened. Margaret currently has a feline brother (11) & sister (6). She has bonded with her brother & made peace with the pushy sister. Margaret is playful & curious. She enjoys playing with crinkle balls & spring style cat toys. Margaret enjoys outdoor time on the enclosed patio, but is not interested in going beyond the fence. Margaret is front declawed and spayed.

Story
Approximate Date of Birth:8/29/2021 Description:   My story begins with my siblings, and I being taken care of by a kind older lady, who helped us figure out a way off the streets. I'm by far the most observant and intelligent of my siblings and will try to find the highest perches in the house to be able to gaze down at my new domain. I am very thoughtful when presented with something or someone new and will be prone to assessing from a distance before I make the decision to interact on my own terms. Once you get the chance to know me, though, you will see that I am very gentle and empathetic and am always willing to brush against your legs and back to offer quiet reassurance. I love going inside boxes and running around; my favorite toys are the ones like wand toys or ribbons that you can participate in with me, but I also love ball tracks and puzzles when left to my own devices. Come by and say hi to me today! Words to Describe Me: vigilant, quiet, agile Favorite Place to Sleep: inside a box that has a blanket or a covered cat bed Favorite Toy: chasing after a wand toy/ribbon or batting at a toy through holes in a box Kitty's Likes: toys and cat trees, staring at fans (ceiling or on the floor), chin scratches Kitty's Dislikes: being held for too long Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: play time, petting when she's in the mood Good with Cats: Likes cats given a proper introduction.  Good with Dogs: Unknown. Good with Children: Can live in a house with children over the age of 12. Companion Animal:   Not necessary.                          Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age. Story
Approximate Date of Birth:10/1/2020 Description:  I'm the fabulous Taffy Truffles here to be your lifelong companion. I am a very mellow cat, but I can’t resist checking out what my favorite human is up to. No matter what I’m doing, I can’t resist the urge to come when I hear a box of toys shaking. Catch is my favorite game to play; throw a feathered toy far above my head and witness my acrobatic prowess. My favorite pastime is sitting by the window for a nice long view of nature. I also love to watch TV with birds or squirrels in nature. I need a long petting session with complementary playtime before settling for the night, otherwise I will cry for your attention. Brushing my body will easily earn you my affection and maybe earn you a belly rub. I must emphasize that I dislike being handled and I can sense your antics from a mile away. It may take a while to earn my trust as I am very anxious around new people and animals. With all things considered, I will be your best-est companion! Words to Describe Me: Skittish, Curious, Chatty, Relaxed Favorite Place to Sleep: A spot near the window Favorite Toy: Feathered wand Perfect Day: A day full of playtime followed by petting and sleeping Kitty's Likes: Playtime Kitty's Dislikes: Be handled or picked up Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Brushing my body Favorite Treat: Does not like treats Job Title in Foster: Watchcat When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Olympic gymnast Good with Cats:Ambivalent towards cats.   Good with Dogs:  Unknown. Story
This is Little Bit - a beautiful young kitty looking for a forever home. Sadly, her previous owner became homeless, and was unable to care for her anymore. She is around a year old, and is still learning how to be a cat. She was not socialized around other cats, and although she is making progress, she is still learning. She does seem to like dogs, or at least is used to them, as she had 3 doggie siblings. Maybe that is why she is always so interested in the dog food! 😂 She is still very much a kitten - playful, energetic, curious, mischievous… Besides learning to interact with other cats nicely, she is still learning some people skills also. She likes attention, but on her terms, and is easily spooked by unfamiliar things. She can be bribed with Churu treats, and will become a great companion with some time and patience. Her favorite spot is a perch up high where she can feel safe and see everything that is going on. She should be in a home with someone who is experienced with cats and is willing to give her the love and time necessary to feel comfortable. Older kids only, and a home without other cats to start (she is particular about who she likes). Cat friendly dogs would be ideal. She is getting close to her one year birthday, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is FeLV/FIV negative. If you would love to give this beauty the chance to shine, please fill out an adoption application at www.valleydogs.org. She is looking for a kingdom where she can be the queen! pattisenechal@yahoo.com
