11/02/24 Miss Shadow, previously known as Teanut, was brought to the shelter as a stray and not picked up by her previous owner. Upon arrival at the shelter, Shadow was very stressed out and did not want to be handled. She has warmed up wonderfully and actively solicits attention from anyone that walks by her. Shadow has continued to use her litterbox reliably. We have observed that if a dog walks past her enclosure, she becomes very agitated. She would do best in a home without dogs. Teanut came to the shelter as a stray so we do not have any prior information on her. Teanut enjoys her space and chooses when she wants attention. She has used her litterbox fantastically at the shelter and we have learned that she loves canned food! We do not know how she does with other animals so if you do choose to introduce her to other critters please make sure to do slow, safe, and controlled introductions. Teanut can be quite opinionated and is looking for an owner who understands her quirks. We are requiring that she goes to a home without children under 5 to help her adjust in her new home.
