Story
Scrappy was taken in by the rescue after him and 14 other dogs were removed by Animal Control due to neglect. They were living outside with little care of human interaction. He was in rough shape with very little hair, covered in fleas, underweight with nails that had grown into his feet. He was terrified of people and his in the laundry room for a few weeks. Within a few months, he has blossomed. He has grown back hair and put on weight. He is all healthy, neutered, chipped, and up to date on his shots. He has learned to LOVE people and turned into a cuddle bug who wants to sit on your lap and sleep with you. He loves car rides and loved toys. He is great with kids. He is really working on his house training. He is dog reactive and would love to be the only dog. If other dogs are in the home, a slow introduction will be necessary Dog parks should be avoided as he will be protective of his person. He eats well and love treats. After his hard start, this little love bug deserves an amazing home with lots of cuddles. In the 10+ years I have been fostering, I have never met a dog so loveable. Looking for two: His brother Ollie is also available!

Story
This happy-go-lucky, full of life little guy is Rico and we believe he is a Cairn Terrier mix 22 pounds about 5 years old. Rico had a rough start when he came into our Rescue. It was determined he needed both of his knees replaced for him to be pain free. His recovery went very well. As a result of a successful surgery, he is now able to play Fetch, his favorite activity. Rico takes direction well and wants to please his humans. He is also respectful of cats. Would do best in an all-adult household or with children 10 yrs or older. He is good on car rides and comes with great house manners as well as being a first class cuddler. Are you his forever home at last? (An adoption fee of $400 is required.) Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.
