Story
This happy-go-lucky, full of life little guy is Rico and we believe he is a Cairn Terrier mix 22 pounds about 5 years old. Rico had a rough start when he came into our Rescue. It was determined he needed both of his knees replaced for him to be pain free. His recovery went very well. As a result of a successful surgery, he is now able to play Fetch, his favorite activity. Rico takes direction well and wants to please his humans. Rico will do best either being the only dog or one other dog 30 pounds or more. He is also respectful of cats. Would do best in an all-adult household or with children 10 yrs or older. He is good on car rides and comes with great house manners as well as being a first class cuddlier. His ideal home would have a house set back from the road with a large fenced yard where he can play with other dogs and be his true self. He has proven to be one of those rare dogs that does not do well on leash walks. (An adoption fee of $400 is required.) Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.

Story
Scruffy Bailey is such a cute pup. At 1 yr old, this adorable male dog has been learning how it feels to live in a house, to be part of a family and to get attention from his foster mom and that he deserves to be loved. Bailey has also been getting used to always having yummy food and treats to eat. Bailey gets along well with his fellow furry brother and sisters. He loves playing with his fur brother Charlie. Sweet Bailey has been working on learning to be in a crate and potty trained. He looks forward to finding his own forever family and home which he so deserves. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
