Name:  Petey        Best Guess for Breed:   Cairn terrier mix  Best Guess for Age:  6 years as of February 2025     SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:  30 lbs   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them.   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Petey is Looking For:   His forever family! This absurdly cute fuzzy tube on stubby little legs landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and he is eager to once again have his own humans. Sniffy walks, romps, world exploration - yes, please! Exploring all the toys, quality kibble, and a cushy dog bed all sound good to him too. (And yes, daily brushing and regular grooming - that coat is gonna need maintenance to prevent painful mats!). But what he wants most of all is to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange he promises to always make you smile when you look at his lolling tongue and awesomely proportioned body - to always give you adoring gazes - and to be a loyal companions for all his days.    Petey has lived in a home before and is a very social little guy. Don't let his age fool you - he likes to stay active so include some trips to the dog park or doggie day care along with his daily walks.   What do you say? Is Petey the one you see down there by your side? Story
This little cutie will warm your heart! Bella has never met a lap she didn’t like and is the perfect-sized lap dog at 14lbs. Bella is 6 years old, house-trained, and crate-trained. While Bella is currently living with two canine foster siblings (one smaller, one bigger) she would probably prefer to be the sole dog lapping up her human(s) attention. Bella thrives with people. She loves every person she meets and wants to spend all her time with them. She will do a little dance when she gets excited, when her people come home, or when dinner is ready. She is adorably cute and a great companion. My Profile Age: 6 Weight: 14 Good with kids: Unknown Good with dogs: Some Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: No Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes House trained: Yes.
