Story
Meet Glen, a remarkable 8 year old, mixed breed weighing 27 pounds, with a heart as big as Texas. Glen's journey brought him to Camo Rescue's Houston facility in 2021, where he has been a beloved resident ever since. Glen is a dog full of love and energy, always ready for an adventure outdoors. His favorite activities include running around outdoors, splashing in water, and exploring every nook and cranny of his surroundings. He's potty trained and does good with leash walking. While Glen is a loving dog once he warms up to you. He comes with some challenges that require experienced handling. Glen is very kennel aggressive and doesn't appreciate correction. He struggles most during meal times as he resource guards his food. Glen's forever family would need to be understanding and capable of ensuring meal times are as safe and comfortable as possible for everyone involved. Despite these behaviors, Glen is deeply affectionate and fiercely loyal to those he trusts. For Glen to thrive, he would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the only dog, ensuring he receives the focused attention and structured environment he needs. His forever family must provide a secure and loving atmosphere, along with careful management of his behaviors. With patience, understanding, and the right environment, Glen promises to blossom into an extraordinary companion, enriching the lives of his adoptive family with his unwavering devotion and adventurous spirit. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this special boy, Glen is waiting to embark on his next chapter with you. Glen's adoption fee is WAIVED FOR THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
🕵️‍♂️ Meet Spy – The Scruffy Terrier with a Tender Heart 🐾 Spy is a 5-year-old, 24-pound Cairn Terrier with a rough-around-the-edges charm and a heart that just needs a little patience to shine. He’s had a tough past, so he can be wary of new people and may take some time to trust. But if you go slow, give him space, and earn his confidence, you’ll see the sweet, goofy side that’s worth every bit of effort. Spy is potty trained and really enjoys the company of other dogs — they seem to help him feel more comfortable and confident. He’s still learning that people can be gentle; sudden movements can make him flinch, so he’ll do best in a calm, adult-only home that understands his need for time and kindness. He loves toys, treats, and having a routine. He’s also working on his leash manners — he’s a bit of a puller, but he’s eager to explore and experience life outside of what he’s known. Spy isn’t the kind of dog who will trust overnight, but for the right person — someone patient, compassionate, and steady — he’ll be a deeply rewarding companion. Give him time, and Spy will show you what true resilience (and unconditional love) looks like. Adoption fee is: waived to the right home. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com Adoption fees are variable. Story
Wyatt is a very sweet 3 year old Cairn Terrier. He does well with female dogs but not fond of males. He weighs 15 pounds, is neutered, up to date on shots, hw negative and microchipped. Wyatt loves being around his people and truly enjoys human companionship. He prefers to be the only dog in the home, as he doesn't really care for other dogs. Wyatt is also quite athletic and can jump very high, so a secure yard and/or careful supervision will be very important. Adoption fee is: $400 Adoption fees are variable.
