Story
Tina Louise and Peggy Sue were someone's pets for 9 years. When they became unable to care for themselves, they were dropped off at a shelter. We rescued them because we couldn't bear the thought that these two sweet senior gals would be in a scary, loud shelter environment. Peggy gets along ok with other dogs, but also would be fine as the center of all the attention. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Please bring this sweet, scruffy girl home and apply now!

Story
Scrappy and Molly Chi came to us after their human died and the family member dumped them off at the local, crowded shelter. Scrappy is a neutered, Norwich Terrier mix around 4, and Molly Chi is a spayed, Chihuahua mix around 10. We wanted to observe them to see if they were truly bonded because sometimes when situations change, those who lived together before do not care for each other in a different home. But these guys seek each other out to snuggle and sleep together in a bed at nighttime. Because of this, we need to keep them together and honor the relationship that they’ve had for some time. Scrappy is funny and energetic - he would likely do well playing with toys and fetching balls. He does well with the other foster dogs in the home. He is a fun, happy boy. Molly is a little more reserved, cautious. She is very attached to Scrappy to be her safety blanket. Molly also likes to cuddle on her terms and isn’t the kind of Chihuahua mix who likes to be picked up. These guys, because they are a bonded pair, have a reduced adoption donation of $300 so we hope you will consider giving them a stable, loving home and also giving their past person peace knowing their babies are safe. Story
Meet Graham Cracker, a one and a half year old cairn terrier mix whose ancestor helped Dorothy navigate the yellow brick road. While this cute guy has realized there's no place like home, he's certain to find his furever person quickly. He's fun, young, a little bit quirky, and quickly learning how to be a good boy. With the heart of a puppy, Graham Cracker is full of energy and eager to play. Graham Cracker weighs 22 lbs, is neutered, heartworm negative, and ready for his people.Did you know that when you adopt from the Maggie Society, your new family member comes with two copies of vet records. Story
Scout is such an adorable little girl. Only 15 pounds, she is soft and fluffy, loves to go for walks and explore everything - but also enjoys being carried around! She loves meeting new dogs, cats, and people and would be a wonderful new family member. Scoutie is a sweet happy dog who is playful, silly, and affectionate. She is active enough to taking hiking and loves to play with toys, but also enjoys snuggling on the couch. As Scoutie is quite bright and very focused on her people, she should be easy to train with non-food rewards. She rides well in the car and is happy to join you on your adventures. She's been sleeping peacefully through the night in a crate in foster care but would prefer to sleep all snuggled up with her people. We've noticed she is barky when she's home alone so don't think she's suited for apartment living. Scoutie lived with a dog-savvy cat in foster care and would chase a little if it ran, but was quite intimidated when it stood it's ground. We saw no evidence of cat aggression and think she'd be fine in a home with a cat. She has also been fostered with school age children. Scoutie seems to genuinely love kids. She greets them with whole body wiggles and kisses. However she is a small dog and can be defensive about rough handling so would be best with older children that have some dog experience. Scoutie was briefly fostered with a larger dog. She seemed to enjoy it's company but was sometimes protective of her toys and her personal space. She'd be fine as an only dog or with another dog that is going to take her occasional small dog attitude in stride. She was good with other dogs we met in public or passed on the street
