Story
Roger is a handsome boy who is silly, sweet, and happy. He's a social little love who has the cutest greetings, happy dances, and excited spins. Roger loves going on walks, saying hi to people, and having them talk to him in a sweet voice (especially when a treat comes soon after!). He loves being included in activities with his humans, which is easy enough given his petite size! Roger has been okay with other dogs, but will do well as a solo dog where he can get ALL of the attention. He's very food motivated and this active senior is very trainable. Roger will come to you when he wants pets and attention, and he will do best in a home with someone who understands his independent nature, his need for space, and quirks about being picked up without first gaining his permission. No cats or kids for Roger, please. Roger has low to medium energy. He's a very chill boy when he wants, but if you're going on a walk or have another activity, he's always down to join you. He thrives on a consistent schedule and would do great in a home with an owner who enjoys relaxing time just as much as play time. If you are looking for a bestie that will bring you lots of laughs and who is eager to please, apply to adopt Roger today!

Story
This cutie is KIMBO, a male, Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua mix, who is around 4 years old and weighing 16 pounds. He has a rough/wiry coat that just needs routine brushing. Kimbo is a very sweet, shy dog who is great with other small dogs and enjoys playing with them for hours. When he’s done playing, he loves to nap on his foster mom’s lap. Because Kimbo is a sensitive dog who needs time to adjust to his new surroundings and people, a patient and understanding adopter is a must for him. Kimbo lives easily in a foster home with two teens and his foster mom and a few dogs; we have learned he is frightened of most men, loud noises, and sudden movements. Therefore, we are seeking a calm, female household, with or without teens, and another small, playful dog with whom he can buddy.  Kimbo enjoys going for shorter walks and will benefit from continued leash training since he pulls on his leash due to excitement; it appears he wasn’t taken for walks prior to rescue so he’s in the process of learning leash manners. Kimbo is crated when people leave the home and at night, which he accepts easily. He is mostly housebroken when taken out on a schedule.  He is uncomfortable meeting new people so he is not a dog that would do well with an adopter who wants to have a dog who goes out and meets people at events, restaurants, etc.  This dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, provided vaccines, been dewormed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. Our online application is not functioning currently; therefore ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request from acaringplace@comcast.net. We apologize for the inconvenience.A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area.
