These sweet companions are set to arrive from one of our shelter partners in Colorado tomorrow, and they are ready to bring joy and companionship into your life. At ten years old, Toby and Zoe are just beginning their journey, proving that age is merely a number when it comes to love and loyalty. Toby, our special needs boy, requires some extra attention due to his condition known as Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS), which means he will need lifelong eye drops to keep his eyes comfortable. Additionally, he has been diagnosed with dental disease, and we are actively seeking sponsorship to help cover his medical expenses. Despite these challenges, Toby is a loving and gentle soul who gets along well with other dogs, people, and even cats. His resilience and affectionate nature make him a wonderful companion for anyone willing to open their heart and home. Zoe, on the other hand, is a delightful little lady who knows how to communicate her needs. She will lay down when she wants to be picked up, showcasing her playful and affectionate personality. Zoe enjoys her trips to the groomer and looks forward to her daily walks, making her an ideal companion for those who appreciate an active lifestyle. Zoe is an adorable small mix of cairn terrier and Japanese chin, who, at the age of ten, has recently found herself in the care of one of our amazing shelter partners. This sweet girl is in search of a peaceful home where she can enjoy her golden years. Although she hasn't had much exposure to children, she has never displayed any aggressive behavior and is friendly with strangers. Zoe gets along well with other dogs, both indoors and outdoors, making her a delightful companion. One of the challenges Zoe faces is a habit of eating her own feces, which is something that can be addressed with proper training and care. She is crate trained and has learned to use potty pads effectively. The previous owner mentioned that the dogs were accustomed to a litter box setup, which included a potty pad inside. Zoe has been well-behaved in the house, and she enjoys spending her days outside while sleeping indoors at night.
