Rufus is a smart, energetic, and loving little terrier who is looking for a good home. He has a ton of character and personality and has a lot of love to give. We rescued him about 6 years ago and the shelter estimated that he was about 4 years old at the time so that puts him at about 10 years old now. Rufus is house trained and knows basic commands (i.e., sit, down, stay). We are expecting a child soon and we think that Rufus should be at a home that can provide him with the time and attention he deserves. He would do well in a home that can help him channel his energy through regular walks and play. He does not do well with large dogs but get's along well with small dogs just fine. He can be a bit slow to warm but once he does you’ll have a dog that will love you with everything he has.

Senior dogs need help! This sweet family is hoping for a miracle. Their mom has entered a permanent nursing home for Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately, her family can not care for the dogs and are searching for a place for them to go. They've reached out to multiple rescues, but no one is able to help. We are their last hope before they go to the shelter. All of the dogs are seniors, and its highly unlikely they would make it out alive. We need fosters or adopters asap. The Chihuahua is named Girlfriend, and she is actually the mother of the other dogs! Mo is the black dog, and Lily is the white dog. If we can find fosters, we will have them seen by our vet and groomed. They're low maintenance and quiet. They love to take naps and sit in the sun. Once they warm up to you, they'd love to sit next to you and cuddle. Girlfriend, Mo and Lily are a little scared and shy right now, which is understandable given the situation.
