Story
Dallas Tex is the handsomest kitten you’ve ever met and has the sweetest personality to boot. He has the biggest purr and will often raise his little paws up to indicate he wants his human pals to pick him up.   Dallas has grown into a happy and healthy kitten in foster care after being saved from a shelter with his litter mates 30 minutes before they were set to be euthanized. This boy absolutely loves attention and will cuddle up with people and cats alike to satisfy his need for snuggles. He's gotten to meet dogs of various sizes and we think he would enjoy having kids to play with too! Dallas is also an incredibly talented jumper and loves to romp and practice his high jumping skills! He would love to be adopted with another kitten in our program or would like to have another kitty in his forever home since he's such a social butterfly. Dallas Tex is too young to be adopted, but is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program!   Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in the foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.  RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2034512##

Story
This is Kwazii, a handsome Russiab Blue mix boy. Rescued by a kind person from an apartment complex along with his littermates. A complete sweetie who loves to sit on your lap and even climb your shoulder! Loves a good laser and string to play with. Has gotten really good at climbing and likes to curl up in a warm chair and nap. His favorite activity though, is leaping behind his sister Dashi and playing with her tail. He would love a kitty companion in an adopted home and we think he would do well with a cat-friendly dog. Kwazii is a catch! His estimated birth date is March 19, 2024. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only. ##2040891##

Story
Steve was adopted when he was four months old. He's now about 1 year and 10 months old. He loves to look at squirrels from the window, go after roaches or crawling bugs, and protests by 'meowing' every time owner is going out. He may hiss at strangers approaching and he has very long nails, and he never let owner trim his nails.
