Story
Mable is a 4.5 year old stunning Bullmastiff looking for her forever family this holiday season! Mable is a big, healthy girl... weighing in at almost 120lb! She is good with other dogs and people (and is currently residing with cats, so we'll quickly learn how she is with kitties, too). She can be protective of her home at first - as can be expected with her breed - but relaxes when she realizes there is no threat to her home. Mable is an extremely sweet girl who would love to make your couch her home. She is healthy, social, and ready for adoption! To be considered for adoption, please complete an online application here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/6476b07912357a9a4606eddf/67604b61eca564d514008424

Story
Estimated DOB 10/1/18, weight 98 pounds. From Lincoln’s rescuer / foster mom: We found this big, beautiful dog chained to the fence behind our business. We’re not sure how long he had been there, but he was left with no food or water, looking so sad. We unchained him and took him inside. A trip to the vet showed that he did have a microchip and was adopted from a shelter in CA in 2019, but his adopter didn’t respond to the microchipping company’s calls or emails. We named him Lincoln…as in Abraham. What does Lincoln mean spiritually? Lincoln signifies deep wisdom and emotional depth. The name suggests overcoming emotional challenges and finding fulfillment. That fits him to a “T.” He no doubt has had some emotional challenges, even though you would never know it, and finding a Furever Family to love him would be that fulfillment. Lincoln is a big ol', sweet boy that loves people. There is absolutely nothing negative that we can say about him. There’s no useless barking. If he does, it’s for a reason. He’s the best at letting us know the doorbell is ringing! Intelligence is not lacking in this boy. He was well-trained and knows Sit, Down, Stay, Get Back, will Shake with either paw, and Speaks. He’s house-broken, crate-trained, loves walks and walks calmly on a leash the majority of the time. However, squirrels can be a distraction. And just to let you know, he’s very strong. Lincoln is very alert, and when outside he’s always looking around and observing. He will just stop and stand still, nose into the wind, looking around intently. Loud noises never make him flinch. He loves his heavy-duty squeaky toys and big tennis ball. Bathing at the Self-Serve Dog Wash was a fun outing for him. Scrubbing and pampering him like the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz is a special treat. He's so gentle. We’ve never been around a dog like this and have come to find out he is quite exceptional. Say the word “go” or “car,” and he’s ready. He gets so excited and heads to the back of the SUV to jump in. He puts his front paws on the console, navigating every turn and loves to stick his nose out the window to see the sights as well as smell the new aromas. If you've had a big dog before and are looking for some ‘big-dog love’ to share your life with, Lincoln is your dog!  HOPE ID: D24-1122-0046 If you are interested in Lincoln and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you. December 15, 2024, 10:22 pm

Story
Rosa is about as sweet as she can be, loves to play, sleep, and get pets! She's timid when you first meet her, but once she's comfortable, she opens up. She is great with other dogs, young kids, and has been totally non-reactive to cats (or any other small animal we pass on our walks.) She would likely be fine living with cats, but has not had the opportunity. She sleeps in her crate at night, sleeps quietly when foster mom works from home, and although she whimpers a little bit when her foster mom leaves the house, she calms down and can stay alone for long periods with no issues. She occasionally will chew on some socks or a board book, but only when she's really excited, she has never been destructive when home alone. Since she loves other dogs and LOVES to play, would likely be the best fit with another playful dog in the home. She is currently being treated for heart worm, takes her medications with no problems, and is excellent at walking on a leash and is potty trained! She really is such a wonderful dog. Rosa is a female Anatolian Shepherd with an estimated DOB of 10/1/2022. She weighs 46 lbs.
