Story
Happy has brought our family a lot of joy at his young age of 3. He showed up in our back porch malnutrition, homeless, and seeking shelter. We have fostered him for the last 3 months until we find him a forever home. The reason for rehoming is his ability to get along with male dogs. He gets along with my female maltipoo no issue but we have a hard time getting near other male dogs. The second reason for needing adoption is we are a military family and getting moved to Korea. He needs someone that has no other pets and can spend the time to train him with a trainer. He is very protective and will attack other dogs if they come near. I pray I can find a new home as all San Antonio shelters full. Our last option is to give him a dignified euthanasia service at home so he does not have to worry about dying alone without a family. Please help me find him a loving home.

Story
Goofy is a sweet and gentle senior Anatolian Shepherd who has spent his life in a small outdoor enclosure. He hasn’t had the chance to explore the world, so everything will be new and a little scary for him. Despite his tough circumstances, Goofy has a big heart and just needs someone to give him the chance to shine. He has some health challenges and has fleas, but with proper care, his condition can improve. His new family will need to help him get up to date on checkups and treatments. Goofy isn’t very socialized and will need an adopter who understands large, independent breeds. He will thrive in a calm environment with someone who can offer patience, compassion, and time to adjust. If you have a big heart and a little extra room, Goofy could be the loyal, loving companion you’re looking for. Please consider giving him the second chance he so desperately needs.
