Story
Max is a wonderful dog that was bought by my daughter as a puppy 3 years ago. My daughter graduated from college and moved to Virginia to start a new job and tried to live with Max in a one bed room apartment while working in an office with a 45 minute commute. This was not a good environment for an active dog that needs exercise. We brought him back to Georgia and would like to rehome him to an environment where he will get enough attention. We already have 2 dogs and 2 cats and don’t have the capacity to give him what he needs. We do not want to rehome him to someone in an apartment. ideally, he’ll be rehomed to someone with land/space so he can thrive.

Story
Meet Barklee Barklee is a big puppy who is still learning how to behave. He is easily trained with commands when not distracted. He loves to cuddle and loves blankets. He is still food-motivated, but his favorite treats are ice cubes! As much as he loves people and getting attention, he is still very reactive to other dogs (particularly males). So, continued training is required. With his size (approximately 75 lbs), the fact that he doesn’t know his size or strength, and he’s still learning to make good choices, an ideal home environment at this time would be: - No young children - Single-family home; no apartment - Fenced yard at least 5ft high - No cats - No dogs, unless you’re able to integrate Barklee into the home well over time. He currently lives with two female dogs that were already in the home; they are 50-60 lbs (one dominant, one submissive). However, it’s uncertain whether an existing male/female or dominant/submissive dog in a new home would make a difference/be better - Not being left alone for long periods. He’s used to having at least one person at home or the two other dogs at all time. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Hi, I`m Tobias! I`m a 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd with a heart as big as my size. I’m a gentle, affectionate boy who absolutely loves to cuddle. When you’re petting me, I’ll happily curl up around you, showing you just how much I adore your company. I truly embody the term `gentle giant.` While I’m sweet as can be, I do need a little work on my leash manners—my tenacious spirit can sometimes take the lead! With some patience and guidance, I’ll be the perfect companion for strolls and snuggles alike. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving friend, I’m your guy! Currently, I am available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting Tobias, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5. All of my love, Tobias/(^.^)\",AVAILABLE"
