Story
Arlo is the years old his father was a bull mastiff Great Dane mix and his mother was a pitbull. He is very sweet loves his cat sisters and plays well with other dogs. After his dog brother our first dog passed he started showing some behaviors of food aggression. We recently had an incident with him bitting a delivery person. My spouse and I are separated living in different homes and do not have the time to spend getting him the proper training to remedy his recent territorial aggression isssues . This is a very hard decision we love this dog he is the most loyal dog we ever had and we have a 4 year old who he fight off a bear for if it ment keeping her safe and let’s her practically ride him like a horse if she wanted. He never attacked any family or friends He really needs someone with experience and time for training and he would thrive but right now he is very protective of his home and yard and we are concerned with his territory issues .

Welcome Emma to CCPAL foster program. Emma is a 3-year old pure English Mastiff. We do not have papers. She weighs 110 pounds. She pulls on leash but she does lean in on the person that is her person. She responds well to affection and was taking direction well in just a short period of time working with her at the Rescue. She is a gentle giant. This is a loyal breed and my experience with them is they are protective of their family once they bond. Mastiff breeds are notoriously patient and good with children. She knows Spanish and English commands. She is good with children and other dogs. She isn’t good with small dogs. She would be great with a moderately active family familiar with an XL dog or the Mastiff breed. This breed will do wonderful with strong person who knows how to give good direction. She is stunning and if you love this breed, you will love this dog. She is getting spayed soon and will be getting her vaccines and be ready for her forever home in a couple of weeks. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to be delivered to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
