What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I need a home without cats or small animals.I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me. Primary Color: Fawn Weight: 33 Age: 8yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tigger, a high-energy bull terrier and pit bull mix born in late 2015,  is the friendliest, most fun-loving little guy. He absolutely loves everyone he meets. While he especially loves children he is better suited to older kids, not little ones.  He likes to be king of his castle, so he should be the only pet in his home. And his home should be in a quiet suburb with a fenced yard where Tigger can play and burn off his energy. He loves his people so much, he needs them to be home a lot.  If you are an experienced dog owner who can give Tigger the forever home he's looking for, fill out an application at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org  RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoptionGiven technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 1:32 am

Story
Meet our sweet Brandy. Brandy loves life and knows how to make the most out of it. That being said, there are three things she especially loves: kids, playing with empty water jugs, and other dogs. Brandy is approximately 18 months old, and 51lbs. She is spayed, fully vetted, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She would probably do best in a home without cats. She isn’t looking to hurt them, but she is curious about them and wants to play so she chases them. Brandy loves kids and all people. She gets along well with other dogs of all-sizes. She loves toys, water (and playing with empty water jugs), and taking baths. She’s housebroken. She knows her name, understands sit, stay, and come, and is generally well-behaved. She’s strong and playful. She loves car rides. The best-fit family for Brandy would be an active family that goes hiking. She’d also make a great running buddy. She would love going on long walks and would really appreciate a fenced yard where she can run and play. Brandy's back story: Brandy was dumped out on the streets and left to fend for herself. A sweet lady found her and decided to bring her home. According to her, Brandy is a sweetheart. But she’s also a strong and energetic girl and her finder is a lady in her mid-70s who can't give her what she needs. So she asked us to find Brandy the best home possible for her. She will be transported to NJ when adopted. To apply to adopt, please copy and paste the link below into your browser: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us! Story
Diva is a 6 year old bull terrier mix queen who just adores humans. Frankly, she is the most forgiving and precious girl. She truly enjoys human interaction. You would never believe she was once a victim of human cruelty. Despite all her harsh experiences, she remains sweet, gentle, and trusting of all her human friends! Diva is a cuddle bug. All she wants to do is love and be loved. She is the perfect package and great for any home- she would love to be the only pet or have fursiblings. We are looking for a family that will love Diva, make her feel safe, and show her that the world can be beautiful.    In her previous life, we believe Diva was a breeding dog in a local puppy mill. Once she was considered useless to them, they tossed her out into the street, where she had to fight the elements to survive. Sadly, Diiva was found in a heart-breaking condition, battling starvation and 4 tumors. Our partners at KAW found her and brought her under their wing.    Diva is a resilient and fearless young lady. While in KAW’s care, she recovered beautifully from all that life threw her way. Now, she is completely healthy and ready for the new chapter in her life.  recovered from all her surgeries and is now completely healthy.   If interested in fostering or adopting Diva, please complete an application, which can be found on our website at www.twentypawsrescue.com/forms-applications. Please note that due to an email glitch, sometimes emails get lost. We respond to all emails so if you don’t hear back from us, please follow up!   Diva is due to arrive in Oct. Please email us if interested in fostering or adopting her. We are also in DIRE need of donations and sponsorship. Each dog costs $1400 to Rescue and bring to the states. Please consider donating even $1  November 2, 2024, 12:21 am
