Story
Meet Frankie, a 8 year-old bull terrier who loves people! When we got Frankie it was meant to be a temporary foster situation as she was in critical condition from extreme neglect when we found her in 2020. She's back up to a healthy weight and right as rain, but unfortunately we will be moving across country and our new place doesn't allow pets. Frankie loves people; from babies to elderly. She also does well with cats when slowly introduced; we fostered a few kittens and cats and she did great with them. She is dog reactive and shouldn't be in a home with another dog due to this. She is a white bull terrier so on the shoulder seasons, she does typically need an allergy shot to tide her over while allergens are high. She would be absolutely blissful in a home where she can cuddle (though she is a brick!), be lazy and hangout with some homebodies - she doesn't have crate anxiety and is fully crate trained as well as house trained!

Story
Introducing Sofie Lou, the distinguished 10-year-old female brindle Olde English Bulldog with a taste for the finer, more relaxed side of life. Sofie Lou is a connoisseur of comfort, finding her bliss on soft couches, indulging in serene naps, soaking up the sun's rays while tanning, and savoring her favorite snacks. However, Sofie Lou has a clear set of dislikes that match her strong personality: cats top the list, not once but thrice, indicating a less-than-fond feeling towards her feline counterparts. She's also known to be selective about her canine companions and prefers the company of those who share her laid-back attitude. Boisterous children and overly enthusiastic visitors who encroach on her lawn are met with the same discernment. Sofie Lou's distinguished tastes and clear boundaries make her an unforgettable character with a royal demeanor, commanding respect and adoration in equal measure.

Story
Tyson has been a family pet since 8 weeks old. I adopted Tyson from my son who has multiple dogs. Tyson wasn’t raised with children. Tyson is house trained, and enjoys going on walks. Tyson participated in professional obedience training at “Who’s Walking Who? KC Dog Training for 6-8 weeks. Tyson is selective of his fur friends and needs a smart owner who can help set him up for success. Tyson is just big baby who loves to snuggle and go for walks! He is nothing but PURE love, kisses and cuddles. Tyson lives inside the home (he is not an outside dog). Looking for an owner that can be at-tentative and loving, I currently work long hours and unable to spend the time with Tyson he deserves. It’s very important that he is rehoused with someone who is willing to provide a loving home for Tyson. Tyson is a great companion! Thank you for your interest and consideration.

Story
Meet Stewie My name is Stuart, but my friends call me Stewie. I'm a Pittie mix who is a little over 1 year old. I've been with my foster family for a few months now and am looking for a forever home of my own. My foster mom brought me to her home after meeting me because she felt really bad about the rough start I had to my life. You see, I was found by the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City's Outreach team in December. I'd been outside in the rain and cold over Christmas and I was skinny and scared. I wasn't sure if I could trust the humans who found me, but eventually I went along with them and was soon warm and safe and had food in my tummy. When my foster mom first brought me home with her, I was happy to find there were dogs in her home but I needed to make the male human in the home work for my trust, lol. He hand fed me 3 meals a day for a few days before I finally thought he was okay. I must keep some secrets to myself, but my foster parents quickly learned I wasn't treated very well by the humans who had me before. I don't want to tell them everything and make them sad, but they do know I was abused. I wasn't afraid of things in the house, but if someone made sudden movements I'd flinch. I'm doing a LOT better with that now thanks to all the love and patience from my foster family. It takes me some time to warm up to new humans, men mostly, but as soon as I know you're okay, I'm the bestest friend you could ever want! I give nice kisses, and will roll over for belly rubs. I do make my foster parents laugh a lot especially because of my "Super Top Secret Shoe Relocation Program". It's a mystery to everyone else except for me, but sometimes I think my foster parents' shoes or slippers need to be relocated to different areas of the house. I think it's super funny when they wake up in the morning and can't find their slippers! I also talk a LOT which sometimes frustrates me because my foster parents don't know what I'm trying to tell them. They think I should probably live in a house and not an apartment because I do talk so much. I like to go on walks, and I love learning new stuff. My foster mom has taught me how to sit, lay down, look at her, come here, and a few other things. I like it when she spends time with me teaching me stuff, and think I'd like a human who will continue doing things like that with me. I've put a lot of thought into this, and I think my ideal forever home will be one that's laid back but with humans who want to take me on walks every day. My BFF in my foster home is Soda Pop. We're pretty close in age and have lots of fun wrestling and playing and going on walks together. I don't need to live with another dog though because sometimes I just want to hang out and Soda just wants to play non-stop, which can be kinda annoying sometimes (but don't tell him I said that). If you're looking for a smart, handsome, affectionate guy who enjoys long walks and new adventures I'm your guy.

Story
Hi! My name’s Houston. I'm a four-year-old boxer mix boy and kind of a beefcake at around 80 pounds. (I'd argue that it's all muscle, too.) One of the things I want most in a forever home is a human friend to hang out with, not doing anything in particular, just a couple pals spending time together. Wouldn't that be amazing? I'm a little shy at first, but if you'll give me a few minutes to get to know you, we'll be besties. And I promise to be your snuggle pup! Really, though, I’m way too smart to laze around 24/7. I know sit, down, stay, high five, orbit, between, and wait. Learning tricks is one of my favorite activities and I can pick up new ones in just a day or two. I love to run outside and play in water from the hose. In case I wasn't clear enough on that, I LOVE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!. My favorite game of all is tug of war. (I'll even let you win sometimes!) I’m kennel trained, house trained, and am good at being left alone. In fact, I do some of my best snoozing in my crate while I wait patiently for you to come home. I’d do best in a home with older children because I’m still learning how to contain all my excitement around the little ones. Since I've been looking for a home for a while, I think I'd prefer to be the only doggo so I don't have to share. I’ve got so much love to share and I absolutely cannot wait to meet you! You'll get to see my cute little nub of a tail wag and wag when I'm happy and that will make YOU happy, too! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 to find out more about me! I'm in the Kansas City metro, but my human friends will transport me to the right home. #thepetconnection #BoxerMix #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #DogsofKC #SmartPup #PlayfulPup #ForeverHomeNeeded #KCAdopt #DogLovers #pawsitivetailskc
