Story
She's been through more than most — and she's still the sweetest girl in the room. Reyna is a Pocket Bully/Pitbull mix with a calm, loving presence that quietly catches you off guard. She's the kind of dog that looks tough and acts gentle, the kind that leans into you for pets and makes you wonder how anyone could ever overlook her. Right now, Reyna is in the middle of heartworm treatment — and we want to be completely upfront about that. She's past the medication phase, currently in her rest period, and getting close to her final injections. The finish line is in sight. And here's what matters most: TWRDA will cover the full cost of her heartworm treatment, even if she's adopted before it's complete. Her health is our responsibility, and we're seeing it through. Reyna does wonderfully with bigger dogs, kids, and adults — she has the potential to be an incredible family dog for the right home. She doesn't do well with small dogs or cats, so a home without them is where she'll truly thrive. She's spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped — ready to be claimed by the family she deserves. Reyna isn't asking for much. Just someone patient enough to let her finish healing and loving enough to be there when she does. Reyna is looking for a foster or forever home. If you can open your door to a girl who has already proven she's worth it — she'll spend the rest of her life proving it right back.

Story
Introducing Maddie! This adorable young lady is a 44 pound sweetheart who was born around 10/04/22. She is a beautiful red fawn bull/terrier mix who is spayed, current on her vaccines and preventatives, and is heartworm negative. Maddie is a social, friendly girl who is good with other dogs of all sizes and activity levels. She is getting better on a leash and used the puppy pad in the cold weather, although she has had few accidents. Miss Maddie thinks she is a human. She loves attention but is content to sit on your feet. She is always at attention, even in her sleep. She loves car rides and likes to barks at every 18 wheeler. She’s not a fan of the foster family’s farm pig or cat. They think she just doesn’t understand why we do not eat them. If you find space in your heart and home for Miss Maddie she will take care of you, not the other way around. Please set up a meet and greet with Maddie ASAP. She needs to find her forever home with her new forever family. So please submit an application TODAY! Please APPLY to ADOPT Maddie @ https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TAP/Dog Adoption fee: $100 (fully vetted) Fort Smith Arkansas region

Story
Rocco has spent months waiting for a place to call home. At just 10 months old, he’s still learning what it means to feel safe, to trust, and to let his guard down. Found alongside another dog, his past is a mystery, but one thing is clear—this sweet, loyal boy is ready to find a family who will give him the love and patience he needs to truly shine. Once Rocco knows he can trust you, his true personality starts to emerge. He’s affectionate and playful, eager to soak up every bit of love and attention. He’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—he loves going for walks just as much as he loves curling up for a nap. He’s already house and crate trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. While Rocco adores his people, he needs a little extra time to warm up to strangers, especially men. He’s also selective with other dogs and needs slow introductions to feel comfortable. Because of his nervous nature, he wouldn’t do well in a home with children. What Rocco needs most is a calm, patient family willing to show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. He’s looking for someone who will give him the time he needs to trust, and in return, he’ll offer a lifetime of unwavering loyalty and love. If you can be that person for Rocco, he’s more than ready to meet you. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
