Story
Meet Commissioner, a 2-year-old Bull Terrier mix who was found as a stray in Broward County and brought to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in hopes of finding the forever home he deserves. This fun-loving boy is full of personality and high energy, making him a great match for someone who enjoys staying active. Whether it’s running around in the yard, splashing in the water, or playing with his favorite toys, Commissioner is always up for an adventure. He also has a soft side and absolutely loves to cuddle once playtime is over. Commissioner is good with other dogs and has shown he can thrive in a home with canine companions. He knows basic commands and is eager to please, especially when there are treats involved. Thanks to his playful and friendly nature, he’d be a good match for adopters with any level of dog experience, including first-time dog owners—just be prepared to keep up with his energy! Due to his high prey drive, Commissioner is not a good fit for homes with cats. But if you’re looking for a dog who will keep you smiling, moving, and feeling loved, Commissioner could be your perfect match!

WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Goliath, a handsome 4-year-old Bull Terrier mix who is ready to leave the shelter behind and find the loving home he truly deserves. Goliath is showing signs of kennel stress—he’s anxious and restless in a shelter environment—but a calm, caring home will bring out his best. A wonderful dog like him shouldn’t have to wait any longer. His family shared what a big sweetheart he is: a true gentle giant who thinks he’s a lapdog! Goliath loves to run, cuddle, and give the most amazing hugs. He’s friendly, loves attention, and is food motivated with treats being a great way to his heart. He knows his basics, including sit, heel, and place, listens well, and has experience with boarding. He’s playful but not big on toys, and he’ll get into trash if it’s left open, so keep it closed! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, Goliath is ready to meet you. He loves people and kids, and has been known to get along with dogs and cats, but he is selective with dogs so a dog meet is mandatory. Come give this amazing dog the home and love he’s been waiting for.

Story
Meet Patrick! A small boy with a big personality! Patrick, a male Bull Terrier puppy, is 3 months old and weighs 17 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, crate trained, and housebroken. Patrick came to WAGS after being returned to the shelter due to his inability to walk on a leash; as a result, he would act aggressively toward the leash. He has been leash-trained here at rescue, and we have been very successful with Patrick. Patrick was not treated well before any of his shelter experience, showing great fear toward normal items like brooms, leashes, and mops. We believe that Patrick was abused, and therefore, we recommend ongoing training for Patrick throughout his life, not just for structure but also for bonding and love. Patrick is a darling boy, and with the right, dedicated person, he will grow to be an amazing companion.

Story
We are so sad to be rehoming our Scotty- but our little granddaughter is very allergic to animals and is at our home frequently. Scotty is a typical young boxer- funny, full of energy, happy and affectionate. She loves playing with other dogs and is a good swimmer! She's good with ppl and kids She's on the small side as boxers go but is very pretty - -she's purebred. We had a second boxer and she loves having a buddy. **I prefer she go to a home with at least 1 more dog and a family that's active with someone home most of the day She's had zero health problems and her breeder did testing for the typical boxer maladies - no issues. She is happy to go in her crate if we go out at night and she's had a lot of obedience training. She needs a LOT of exercise and socialization so only apply if u can give her runs and walks and playtime and have a secure yard
