Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post.   Do you want a dog that is 60% couch potato and 40% goofball? That's me! I am a beautiful, AKC registered Bull Terrier that loves relaxing, playing soccer by myself or with a human, only bark when I hear something suspicious, and love to play with cats. I don't like other dogs, and under no circumstances should I be around them...I'm top dog and want to be your only love. While I'm not good with small children (I don't like my tail, paws, nor ears touched) I love older kids that can understand my quirks. I like walks and don't pull, bark, or lung, as I just want to enjoy the scenery with you. My favorite things are my bed, balls, food, and car rides! I need a home that won't yell at me, as I am a sensitive fella and that will make me anxious and defensive. I do fantastic with positive training and am goofball that spins around and hops when you playfully spank my strong back legs. I "grumble" like a bear a lot to tell you how happy I am or that I need something, and I'm super strong, so no soft toys. As a Bull Terrier, I have seasonal allergies and yeast, but a little benadryl is what the vet says I need. Do not try to clean my ears, it makes me extremely nervous and defensive, but sending me to the groomers is okay as long as they know that. If you have a calm, gentle, positive household with experienced dog owners, I just may be your new love! Please contact Jordan at jordanfuent@gmail.com or 505-690-3371.  December 22, 2024, 10:52 am

Story
Sheba loves a lot of things, not least of all people and kids.  She is very athletic and is always up for walkies, games, and any sort of play.  Sheba is also usually ready for food & snacks, there are unverified reports of counter surfing, but she lawyered up and the mystery has been left unsolved.  When she takes a break from being active, Sheba loves snuggles, belly rubs, and easy toys like a food puzzle.   Sheba would probably be best as an only dog in an active family.  She will thrive in an environment that will give her strong boundaries and expectations.  She enjoys pleasing her humans and can do well when she has goals.  Sheba could probably do well as an agility dog and/or a therapy dog. Sheba has had two instances of heartworm and was successfully treated.  She will need to be on meds the rest of her life and we can talk with interested adopters more about this.   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website - https://demisanimalrescue.com/demis-adoption-application/  All dogs are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, heartworm tested (if over 6 months old) and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, bordetella, rabies(if age appropriate)  ##2211597##

Story
Meet Alvin, the sweetest, best boy ever. At just 1 year old and a very petite 30 lbs, Alvin is a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere a very sweet and engaging dog is welcome while being large enough to be an active best friend enjoying outdoor fun with his family. Alvin is believed to be a Bull Terrier / Cattle Dog mix. From Alvin's foster: "I love, love, love this foster. Alvin is smart, loving, obedient and potty trained!!! He eats well, walks on leash well and loves my other dogs. He sleeps through the night on a dog bed at foot of bed. He is so friendly and loves everyone and everything! " Alvin loves everyone, be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Alvin to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like Alvin to attend virtual or in-person positive reinforcement obedience classes to be the very best adult dog he's capable of being. We also feel Alvin would be most comfortable with an adult family or one with older, dog-crazy kids..we wouldn't want tail pulling or awkward handling by very young children. Right now, Alvin is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Alvin is such a pleasure that he can easily be a constant companion and would love nothing more than being together enjoying and learning from his family. Alvin has been fully vetted and vaccinated to fulfill Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to insure he's never a contributor to the overpopulation crisis in the canine world. Alvin is available for adoption now. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Alvin please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Mash Tater (Mash) is a love! He plays hard and loves his toys. Mash came to us with a newly fixed pelvis that was broken from unknown injuries and recently recovered from Demodex (not contagious). He is all cleared and his fur is growing back, but his fur was in terrible shape and will take several months to regrow back to normal. Mash is our very first foster and if we did not have a reactive dog in the house, we would be foster fails. He wants everyone he sees on walks to greet him including canine friends. He does bark and he is mouthy, but he is working hard to be better (He responds very well to clicker training). Since he is a Bull Terrier, he is VERY active and energetic. At only 7 months old he is still very much a puppy with a lot of puppy energy and tends to not know personal space, so having him around dogs that can tolerate that behavior while training is ideal. He wants to be outside with his people. He is hilarious when he romps around the backyard with his toys. Mash is going to make a family very happy! Since he's still very mouthy and very energetic Mash will not be going home to a family with children under 8. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
