Story
Meet Samson!  This mellow older gentleman is hoping to be home for the holidays after spending over 2 years in the shelter environment! Can you believe this handsome fellow is so commonly overlooked? Samson enjoys meeting new people and just hanging out with his favorite toys and blanket. He often bunches up his special blanket and suckles on it for comfort when he is stressed here at the shelter.  Samson gets along well with other dogs and has been paired with both males and females. He even gets along well with the adolescent dogs who jump all around him and give him lots of kisses. He tends to just stand there in kind of an awkward manner until they stop so he can walk away and do his own thing.  Samson is not only friendly and easy-going, he is also very smart and eager to please. He already knows good leash manners, how to 'Sit', 'Wait', and how to 'Shake'. He will even on occasion sit on his back two legs with his front legs in the air showing off his impressive old man build! He just can't get any cuter!  Call the Ranch to learn more about this sweet older man today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.   All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       December 1, 2024, 6:14 pm

Story
Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       February 28, 2025, 4:27 pm
