Story
Abby ended up at a high-kill shelter because her owner was moving. She seemed confused and depressed. The shelter volunteers quickly figured out that she was deaf. But that didn't slow Abby down. She enjoyed getting out into the shelter's play yard and interacting with other dogs. And she loved getting baths! But a deaf dog shouldn't be in the shelter for 8 months. So Outta the Cage rescued her, and she is now in a foster home enjoying her walks and waiting for her forever family. Abby is a 4-year-old bull terrier mix. She is an active girl who would do well in a home with a yard, older kids, and other calm dogs. A neighborhood walk twice a day would suit her fine. She loves to smell all the smells! And, of course, she won't be the one barking during fireworks or when your gardener comes. She's house trained, crate trained, and learning sign language. Please contact us to come and meet her. https://outtathecage.org/applications

Story
Who we mostly call Baby San will be two years old on February 4th, 2025. She was the only female born in a litter of 7 puppies. San is very intelligent, curious, joyful, loving, athletic, spirited and bossy! She has lots of energy and loves to run, hike and explore. She loves playing with other dogs. She’s grown up since birth in an environment that has allowed her to socialize with many other dogs. San has worked as a therapy dog to children through organizations centered around foster youth. She’s a brilliant therapy dog and loves this work. Hoping to find a home for San with humans that love to spend time outdoors who can give her the access to nature that she really needs to thrive. She’s highly intelligent and has working dog genetics and a natural desire to work for her person/people. Would highly encourage working on training skills with her. San is such a special dog. Hoping to find her the perfect family and forever home.

Maximus is an awesome dog with a great vibe, gets along great with other dogs, and loves people. He's house trained, but doesn't know commands yet. He was with a family up north who couldn't keep him so we brought him down to LA hoping to find home an owner who will give him the love and attention he deserves.

Story
Hello there, My name is Lola, I am a 6-year-old Boxer/ Pitbull mix and I`m here to share myself with you.You see, my heart is like a treasure chest – filled with potential, love, and the promise of a beautiful connection. I`ve had my share of challenges, but I`m ready to open up and show you the sweet, loving side that`s been waiting to shine.I am cautious around strangers, especially men, and prefer to live in a household with only adults as children make me nervous. I believe in the power of patience, kindness, and the possibility of healing. With the right approach, I know I can learn to trust and open my heart to the right person. A home where understanding and compassion thrive, creating an environment where I can truly flourish.Contact SPARC to set up a meet-and-greet – let`s create a chapter of our tale that`s filled with understanding, patience, and the promise of a connection that heals and uplifts. I`m here, ready to take the first step toward a brighter future with you. Let`s make this heartwarming journey together!

Story
Woof, hey there! I`m Roxy, your soon-to-be best furry friend. Picture this: a Bull Terrier mix with a tail that wags like crazy and big, soulful brown eyes that`ll melt your heart in an instant. Yeah, that`s me!I`m all about the good times. Long walks? Oh, you betcha! There`s nothing like trotting around, taking in all the smells and sights the world has to offer. But let me tell you, my absolute favorite thing is snuggle time. Couch, bed, floor – I`m not picky. As long as I`m close to my humans, life is perfect. Now, about my social scene. I`ll admit it, I`m a one-and-only kinda dog. I shine brightest when I`m the center of attention, soaking up all the love and belly rubs. Other dogs? Nah, not really my jam. I`d thrive best in a home where I can be your numero uno pup. Here`s the exciting part: a play date! Yep, you read that right. You and me, hanging out at SPARC, getting to know each other better. I`ve got this feeling that we could be the best forever friends – the kind that goes on amazing adventures, has endless cuddle sessions, and just enjoys life to the fullest. So, what do you say? Let`s make this play date happen and see if our hearts sync up. If you`re looking for a loyal, loving companion who`ll always be there with a wagging tail and a smile, I`m your girl. Can`t wait to meet you and start our epic journey together!

Story
ECHO…Echo…echo… just like the sounds that bounce off canyon walls, this fun and zippy girl likes to bounce around too! She is one spunky spitfire with the smarts to go with! Sweet and petite (she looks way bigger in her photos but is really only 53 pounds tall) she is a go getter and LOVES to have fun. Her love language? Sniffaris. She really enjoys walks and hikes where she can explore her environment. She loves to watch the world and all the exciting things happening in it! She would make a great sport partner for someone who is willing to keep her focused and make it fun for her. Some thoughts on this? Disc, Fast Cat, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving – she is fast, agile and willing. She loves to learn and try new things. She also loves to run and jump! Her nickname? Dinosaur. Sometimes she likes to walk on two legs. (Is there a dog sport where this might come in handy?) Echo was surrendered to a high-volume shelter in LA when her family decided they couldn’t keep up with her energy. Unfortunately, this is a common path for many high drive dogs, and when they get to the shelter with nothing to do, their energy doesn’t dissipate, so unless someone is ready for a skyrocket (which we are) an amazing dog like this gets passed up. We love her drive and energy and look for exactly those qualities, however, Echo is a girl with not only many talents, but many interests too, so she wanted to do other things besides just work. Although she’s not a super snuggle bunny, once she connects with you, she shows you how truly special she is and will try so hard for you! If you are looking for a funny, athletic, enthusiastic and special partner, this girl is for YOU…You…you!
