Story
Meet Charlie!,, This boy was found on a busy highway with no ID tag or microchip. He was just a 2.2 pound baby when this happened. He was so scared that day, he cried and ate so much on rescue day, perhaps he suffered hunger and was scared of the cars. Since his rescue he moved in with a foster mom that has other dogs, he immediately got along great with every body! At 7 months old (estimated date of birth is mid Jan 2024) he is 15 pounds, this male pup is very social to people and other dogs. He is very well behaved, non destructive. Good with kids and cats. Every time his foster goes to the kibble bag to serve him his meal, he gets sooo excited! He eats super fast, so he needs a slow eating bowl, and if more food is available, he goes after it! So his future family will have to be careful to avoid overeating. He is very obedient, when his foster says NO, he follows direction right away. He is medium energy, and loves to play with his K9 friends. He loves to be petted, super sweet and loving. This boy deserves a loving home that will care for him for the rest of his life. He already had a rough start. Please, if you are interested, please submit your application at www.drwb.org

Story
Mack is an incredibly sweet, submissive and playful guy who came to Mad Mutts via Downey animal shelter in Los Angeles. Mack is a bull terrier mix and really has the same build as a standard bull terrier. He is shy at first but once he feels comfortable he is so incredibly sweet, gentle, and loves to play. He does great with other dogs and in fact would probably do best in a home with another dog to help him feel more confident. Mack is house trained, crate trained, and easy on leash. This guy is ready to roll! He just needs a family that will be patient as he warms up to them. Mack is not just a good boy, he's a great boy.

Story
Hi there! Is it your lucky day? Because my name is Lucky, and I am searching for my forever family. I am a young girl, around 2 years old and considered a pocket English Bully mix. My foster family found me as a stray on the trail with a broken leg and hip, but I am healing fast! I went through some tough times and can be nervous around men, but once I feel safe, I warm up quickly. My fosters say I am a sweetheart with lots of love to give. I am a pro cuddle bug who adores chin scratches and finding the perfect nap spot. I am crate trained and ready for more positive experiences with humans and dogs. Adopting me will make us both so lucky!

These pups are in Escondido, California too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The tale of Robby, a 10-year-old Boxer Mix, is a heart-wrenching illustration of how a dog can be considered homeless despite technically having an owner. For a decade, Robby endured a life of neglect, living in a dilapidated dog house barely fit for a rat, positioned just outside the home of his owner. Stripped of the basic necessities of care and nourishment, he had no choice but to resort to scavenging for food, begging passersby for scraps and water, all while defending himself from the other street dogs that roamed freely. This life of hardship took its toll on his health, leaving him riddled with infections and suffering from painful rotten and broken teeth due to his desperate attempts to eat whatever he could find. Fortunately, a glimmer of hope arose when concerned individuals turned to me for assistance. I understood that Robby’s situation was a call for compassion that could not be ignored. Upon his rescue, it became clear just how much love and care Robby had been deprived of over the years. With proper veterinary care and rehabilitation, this gentle soul began to regain his health, blossoming into a vibrant and affectionate companion. Robby’s journey is of survival and resilience!! When kindness finally entered his life after years of starvation and loneliness his soul came to life. However, the scars of his past linger on. Although Robby is now a sweet dog who adores human company, the years of ill treatment have left him with food and treat aggression. These behaviors are not indicative of his character but rather a reflection of his survival instincts honed in an unforgiving environment. We continue to help Robby by overcoming his feeling of being food deprived with training and he's doing so much better. We are committed to Robby!!! It’s believed that the best path for Robby is to live as an only dog, allowing him to bask in the one thing he has longed for throughout his tumultuous life—human kindness and love. Robby's story is not just a reminder of the plight of many animals; it serves as a call to action for compassion and understanding, driving us to provide every creature the loving home they deserve. I added Robby’s before pictures on his post so you can see what his life was like and to show how resilient a beautiful soul could be. Robby deserves to live the rest of his life in peace, comfort and with a lot of love which he thrives on. If you live in San Diego County, have a home with a secured yard and would love a wonderful companion dog then please complete our adoption application at tlck9rescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2024, 2:08 pm

Story
We know he looks nothing like a Bulldog! But, we have included a picture of his mommy and she is a Bulldog. We rescued both and now Peter Pan is ready for adoption. Mommy was adopted and is doing great. Peter Pan really loves to play with toys and other dogs; in fact, he is very insistent about it which sometimes throws the older dogs off because they want to rest. Peter Pan is like a kid who truly wants to play. He knows fetch and is developing his leash skills, rides great in the car, and uses pee pads along with the doggie door to do his business outside. While Bulldogs cannot keep up with someone on a long walk, Peter Pan definitely can because of his mix. He is not a big guy but he has the stockiness of his mom. He is about 5 1/2 months almost 6 months old and around 20 pounds. We know the mom but we don't know the dad. However, Peter Pan's fur is soft like a Westie's so that is why we put Westie. We will get updated pictures soon, however, he is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, etc and ready for his forever home.

Story
Hi, this is Sebastian he is a full breed boxer and he is 2 years old. He’s very social and loves attention and hugs. He has grown up around his 2 other brothers from same litter but unfortunately due to moving I cannot keep him. He’s very friendly and loves to run and play catch. He loves making friends at the dog park. He has a great personality and we are so sad to have to see him go. He need’s special attention to his diet because he’s allergic to chicken and eats a salmon & rice blend dog food. Also he has sensitive skin due to these food allergies. He’s the smallest out of all his brothers I’d say he weighs low 60’s lbs! He is microchipped and he is fixed. With up to date shots!
