Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* King is a 10-year-old Bull Terrier who deserves a wonderful home for his golden years after being let down by the people in his life. This resulted in him ending up in Downey Shelter sad, scared, and confused. Fortunately, King now has California Paws Rescue in his corner! King LOVES people. He does okay with other dogs, but he can be a little hesitant because of his limited vision. King is stressed in California Paws Rescue's facility, understandable after all the recent upheaval in his life! They would love to find a foster (or forever) home for King. If you can give King a calm, loving home where he can decompress until his forever family comes for him, please call (760) 656-3833 or email californiapawsrescue@gmail.com. *FFF has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Meet Domino Don! Domino Don came to us from Bonita Shelter on January 18th. He is estimated to be 8 years old and weighs 47 lbs. Domino is a total sweetheart! Domino loves going on our Sunday morning Frosted Faces hikes. He’s definitely going to be a favorite. He’s a spunky, energetic, and walks well on a leash. Once Domino releases some of his excitement, he walks right by your side and often looks up to make sure things are good. Domino loves attention and having his chin scratched. He loves every person who walks by his kennel or enters the play yard. Please drop by between 10 AM and 3 PM any day of the week to meet Domino and our other on-site Frosted Faces. We look forward to your visit!

Story
How this pet arrived: Bullseye was brought in by his previous owner on January 15, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Bullseye is a handsome and affectionate guy who's ready to start the new year in a loving home! He's full of energy and thrives in an active family that can provide plenty of enrichment and exercise. Bullseye adores people and never holds back on giving kisses. However, he can be impulsive and mouthy at times, so his new family should be prepared to manage these behaviors with patience and positive reinforcement training. Bullseye needs a home with children aged 10 and older and would like to be the only dog in the home. If there is another dog, he will require a dog-to-dog introduction as he can be a bit coarse with social skills and guards his food from others. Bullseye is a very affectionate boy that just needs some guidance. With the right environment and support, Bullseye has incredible potential to be the best companion. Bring a leash, collar, and a heart full of love-Bullseye might just be your perfect match! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 55.2 Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Mack is an incredibly sweet, submissive and playful guy who came to Mad Mutts via Downey animal shelter in Los Angeles. Mack is a bull terrier mix and really has the same build as a standard bull terrier. He is shy at first but once he feels comfortable he is so incredibly sweet, gentle, and loves to play. He does great with other dogs and in fact would probably do best in a home with another dog to help him feel more confident. Mack is house trained, crate trained, and easy on leash. This guy is ready to roll! He just needs a family that will be patient as he warms up to them. Mack is not just a good boy, he's a great boy.

Story
I really hate to do this. But my job opportunities are just not fair to Mala anymore. I am always traveling for work and she needs something more secure and stable. I can explain more on a call as to why im making this decision. It is not an easy one. Ive had her since she was 8 weeks. And by my side the whole time. She is an american pocket bully. My dad is a dog breeder. She is pure bred and extremely pretty. Her father is my dads dog Mr amazing, and his father is the world renowned Dax. She is a daxline bully. She is Well manored. She is decent with other dogs but the obvious no food around each other or toys. She has spent most of her time without another dog around so keep that in mind.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The tale of Robby, a 10-year-old Boxer Mix, is a heart-wrenching illustration of how a dog can be considered homeless despite technically having an owner. For a decade, Robby endured a life of neglect, living in a dilapidated dog house barely fit for a rat, positioned just outside the home of his owner. Stripped of the basic necessities of care and nourishment, he had no choice but to resort to scavenging for food, begging passersby for scraps and water, all while defending himself from the other street dogs that roamed freely. This life of hardship took its toll on his health, leaving him riddled with infections and suffering from painful rotten and broken teeth due to his desperate attempts to eat whatever he could find. Fortunately, a glimmer of hope arose when concerned individuals turned to me for assistance. I understood that Robby’s situation was a call for compassion that could not be ignored. Upon his rescue, it became clear just how much love and care Robby had been deprived of over the years. With proper veterinary care and rehabilitation, this gentle soul began to regain his health, blossoming into a vibrant and affectionate companion. Robby’s journey is of survival and resilience!! When kindness finally entered his life after years of starvation and loneliness his soul came to life. However, the scars of his past linger on. Although Robby is now a sweet dog who adores human company, the years of ill treatment have left him with food and treat aggression. These behaviors are not indicative of his character but rather a reflection of his survival instincts honed in an unforgiving environment. We continue to help Robby by overcoming his feeling of being food deprived with training and he's doing so much better. We are committed to Robby!!! It’s believed that the best path for Robby is to live as an only dog, allowing him to bask in the one thing he has longed for throughout his tumultuous life—human kindness and love. Robby's story is not just a reminder of the plight of many animals; it serves as a call to action for compassion and understanding, driving us to provide every creature the loving home they deserve. I added Robby’s before pictures on his post so you can see what his life was like and to show how resilient a beautiful soul could be. Robby deserves to live the rest of his life in peace, comfort and with a lot of love which he thrives on. If you live in San Diego County, have a home with a secured yard and would love a wonderful companion dog then please complete our adoption application at tlck9rescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 9:16 pm

Story
Hi, this is Sebastian he is a full breed boxer and he is 2 years old. He’s very social and loves attention and hugs. He has grown up around his 2 other brothers from same litter but unfortunately due to moving I cannot keep him. He’s very friendly and loves to run and play catch. He loves making friends at the dog park. He has a great personality and we are so sad to have to see him go. He need’s special attention to his diet because he’s allergic to chicken and eats a salmon & rice blend dog food. Also he has sensitive skin due to these food allergies. He’s the smallest out of all his brothers I’d say he weighs low 60’s lbs! He is microchipped and he is fixed. With up to date shots!
