Ashton is a smart and loyal female dog. She is friendly and affectionate, loves to play, and enjoys the company of humans. She would make a great companion to someone who doesn't desire their dog to be a part of every aspect of their social life. Ashton is a homebody. Ashton is independent and knows how to entertain herself. She also enjoys being a couch potato, and cuddling up with her favorite humans is one of her happiest activities! Small children make her very nervous, so she needs to be in a kid free environment. Ashton also is not comfortable with other dogs, so a family looking for a single pet is her best match. Consequently finding a home for her has been a challenge. But we know her people are out there! Ashton is an adult dog. She has plenty of energy and lots of love to give a family. I found her December 14, 2023 with her male buddy Loki. They are very close. I believe she is about a year old. She is an energetic and friendly pup. She is a real sweetheart. I warmly shows her affection. She loves being petted. She seems to have had some training. She will need a disciplined and patient owner to provide additional training. She will sit on command but is easily distracted. She needs to learn additional commands and needs behavioral training e.g. taking food from hand. She is a sweetheart. I would consider keeping her if my situation were different. I have two dogs of my own. I am willing to work with a loving adopter. I can take her to Animal Control to get her spayed and vaccinated. She deserves the love and effort of a loving owner!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’ll pretty much eat anything but have a soft spot for cheese! Can you blame me, though? Cheese is life! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? My perfect day would start with a long walk, popping some bubbles or chasing a ball, then some quality couch time with my humans, followed by a nice long nap. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I live with two adults and two children under five years old. My foster mom is my super-favorite person in the world right now, although those littles sure are a lot of fun!   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I chill. Sometimes on the couch, sometimes on the floor. I take myself out and like to find cool spots in the house.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Pretty flexible! Couch, floor, dog bed. A crate if I must but I like crates the least.

I am an English Bulldog.   HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?   I weigh 58 chonky pounds of perfection and love.   WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?   I am a little meatball with a merle grey coat with white around my neck and paws, cute little spotted ears, and a spotted grey and white face. I have the sweetest little underbite that lets me proudly display my tiny bottom teeth.   WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Umm, everything!! I am the fastest eater my foster mom has ever seen, and she's seen a lot of bulldogs! I really love peanut butter, apples, and cheese as a special snack. I just want to play and have all your attention. When my humans have the audacity to stop petting me, I push my head under their hand to remind them that petting time is not over until I say it is! I am a young pup, so I play pretty hard, but then I also nap like a pro. I'm always up for an adventure and love car rides, but cuddle time is my favorite time because I’m just a big ball of love.   DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY My perfect day involves food, toys, walks, naps, and cuddles. Any combination of the above activities in varying quantities and I’m a happy guy. As long as I’m with my humans, every day is perfect!   WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love squeaky stuffies that I can toss around, benebones, and toys with hidden treats in them. I’m very playful and toys are SO fun!   DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I have been working on shake, but that seems like an awful lot of effort when the human could just pet me instead while I’m sitting there in front of them. I do know sit and will run to my crate when you say “go to your crate.” Don’t forget the treats to reward me for being good, because I'll do anything for food!   WHAT SCARES YOU? I get uncomfortable when there are unexpected loud noises and large objects being moved around.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, my best friend is an 11-year-old human. We play and wrestle and she lets me nap on her bed while she does homework. I haven't been around small children. I’m a bundle of excited energy, so older kids might be a better match for my personality.   DO YOU LIKE CATS? I've never been around one, so I will take a pass on cat companions, thanks.   HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I would like to receive all the attention and all the treats and all the cuddles, so I should be the only dog in my forever home. I just had all the surgeries in December - soft palate, cherry eye, tail pocket, and neuter. My breathing is great now and I'm feeling my best.   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, my 11-year-old human foster sister, and an 8-year-old American Bulldog named Deuce. But since Deuce and I are not friends, my closest companions are my humans.   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate and snooze away happily.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? At night I sleep in my crate like a good boy. Sometimes I like to go into my crate to nap during the day, or I find a cozy place like the couch, bed, or a blanket near the humans.   DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love it, but I'm still working on not pulling. Don’t forget that I’m still pretty young, so I am a work in progress!   DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I have a tendency to jump up when greeting people, but I have been working on that. It is really hard because I’m so happy to see anyone and everyone! Since I'm a young pup, I sometimes find things to chew that I shouldn't. But if I have lots of toys and bones around, I do better about not chewing on other things. I do have a particular affinity for the TV remote, though. Not sure what it is about them, but if you leave the remote down where I can get it, I’m off and running!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes! I even know how to use a doggy door!   DO YOU LIKE WATER? No thank you! I’m definitely not a fan and my forever family needs to keep in mind that I’m a bulldog and not built for water activities.   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? Everything. They love me and give me the attention I need. It wasn’t much fun for me either, really.
