Story
Maxine was brought in from Hwy 75 in Albertville on 8/15/24. Thanks to Dr.Garrett at McCrory Animal Clinic, she has had all of her shots and is now spayed! Maxine is believed to be a bulldog mix between 2-3 years old and weighing approximately 60 pounds. Maxine does well on a leash with minimal pulling. She did well walking through the shelter and even stopped to say hello to some of the others on her way to her new kennel. (we will test her with other dogs in the near future.) Maxine has done well with everyone she has met from the vet to staff at the shelter! Maxine is available for adoption immediately. Euthanasia date: 10/15/24

Story
📢 Meet Pax, the shy guy who’s ready to steal your heart! 💖 Pax may be a big puppy, but he’s one of the most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. He loves everyone and everything, though he might need a few minutes to warm up to new people or dogs. Once he does, he’s all about sharing—whether it’s toys or food, Pax is happy to share with others. Leash training is still a work in progress for Pax, but he’s improving with each walk, thanks to plenty of patience and reassurance. Despite his size, Pax desperately wants to be a lap dog, making him the perfect cuddle buddy for movie marathons or rainy day naps. 🌧️ Pax would thrive in a home with a confident fur sibling to help him build his confidence. He does well with children, though his shy nature means he might take a little time to fully relax. If you’re looking for a gentle giant who’s ready to be your snuggle partner, Pax is waiting to meet you! 🐾 📩 Send us a message on Facebook or call/text at 256-960-1408 to learn more about Pax! Euthanasia date: 10/14/24

Story
This middle aged guy is so handsome! Staff named him Turkey or Turk for short. We estimate he is about 5 years old. He weighs 52 pounds. He is well socialized, good with other dogs and walks well on a leash. He is a calm and mellow dog who likes to give kisses. He found himself homeless after his owner passed. 🥹 Turk is heartworm positive but it’s a very treatable condition with a few different methods to chose from. We will donate $200 toward his treatment cost to the adopter’s choice of veterinarian. Please swing into Guntersville Animal Hospital at 1609 Henry St, Guntersville, Al or call 256-582-3184. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Sat 7:30-12. Adoption fee includes his neuter, wellness exam, dewormer, rabies vaccine and DAPP vaccine.
