Story
Wilson is a true Castaway pirate!
While Wilson only has one eye, he can clearly see a forever family in his future. He is approximately 4 years old, and weighs just 8 lbs. We believe he is some form of Brussel/Shih Tzu mix. His foster says his missing eye does not slow him down ONE bit and he is an absolute doll! We always hesitate to oversell a dog’s charming personality but he really does have rave reviews from his foster.
Wilson is wonderful with kids, dogs, cats and anything that comes his way. He is a gentle little soul. While he is good with other dogs, he is a bit possessive of his human with other dogs and would probably do best in a home with no other dogs so he can get ALL of the attention.
He is housebroken (using a doggie door well!) and is crate trained (although we always remind adopters to give dogs some time to adjust in their new home).
Interested in becoming Wilson’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application.
If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws .
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us.
Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
