Look how bloody handsome I am!!!! Want to have a pretty boy that will need some brushing to keep me at my finest? I love other dogs and all the people too. I am looking for someone who wants to go for adventures but who also likes to sleep in the sun. I would love to have a family of my own and prance around like the handsome and proud boy that I am! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Hi everyone – I’m Lucy, a very mischievous 12 year-old.  I love my daughter Susie and we go everywhere together so I’m looking for a home where we can be adopted together. Why Lucy and Susie are such a perfect pair and will only be adopted together: They are bonded at the hip and literally don’t like to go anywhere without each other.  They love being together and caring for one another. They love everybody! They are great with other dogs and humans of all ages. (Ok maybe they love cats a little too much to share a home with them.)  Golden years but with loads of energy!  Don’t be fooled by their ages – while they are mature, sweet-natured, and well-socialized companion dogs, they both still have plenty of spunk and love to play, run, and explore even while they like their quiet time and snoozing by your side. They are Brittanys with the dial turned down just a tad.  Perfect for the Brittany lover. They represent all the classic traits of the breed. Cuddle masters? Check. Outdoor adventures? Yes please. Pulling on the leash? No way!  They have mastered good leash manners with their twice daily walks (mandatory for their well being and good manners).  Exploring their yard and lounging in the sun?  Absolutely.  Well-behaved and able to be left uncrated in the house when their parents are away?  Mastered.   These two will need a home with a good sized yard surrounded by a sturdy 5-foot fence that is secured at the bottom. They are spayed, current on their vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Lucy’s corner: Not to brag, but my foster parents say I am pure sweetness.  I like to think of myself as the matriarch of the house:  confident, curious, and tail always wagging.  You’ll often find me  waddling around the house checking on everyone in the family.  Who are you calling old:  The vet says I’m in excellent health!  Twelve years young. Did I tell you I’m rather adventurous?  I love to explore the yard and initially looked for escape routes to go on walkabouts.  My twice daily walks with my foster parents have tempered my desire to roam, although I do need a yard with a fence that is secured at the bottom. Lucy’s adoption fee is $250.00 (their combined adoption fee is $500.00).  Note Lucy and Susie are eligible for the senior-to-senior adoption fee of $150.00 per dog for qualified adopters ($300.00 combined senior-to-senior adoption fee).   If you are interested in making Lucy and Susie members of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lucy and Susie are eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from Portland OR with the last leg (100) being driven by the adopter.      March 2, 2025, 2:00 pm

Hi everyone – I’m Susie, a very active 10-year-old.  I love my mom, Lucy, and I'm looking for a home where we can be adopted together. Why Susie and Lucy are such a perfect pair and will only be adopted together: They are bonded at the hip and literally don't like to go anywhere without each other.  They love being together and caring for one another. They love everybody! They are great with other dogs and humans of all ages. (Ok maybe they love cats a little too much to share a home with them.)  Golden years but with loads of energy!  Don't be fooled by their ages - while they are mature, sweet-natured, and well-socialized companion dogs, they both still have plenty of spunk and love to play, run, and explore even while they like their quiet time and snoozing by your side. They are spayed, current on their vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Susie’s corner: They call me Susie the Snuggler! I love to squish my way onto your lap or melt into bed with my mom Lucy.  I do have some arthritis so I’m on daily medication that really makes me feel so much better and allows me move like I’m years younger than I am. My heart of gold has a slight murmur, but the vet says I’m ok and it just needs to be monitored. We did lots of tests so we can keep a close eye on it as the years go by! Susie’s adoption fee is $250.00 (their combined adoption fee is $500.00).   Note Susie and Lucy are eligible for the senior-to-senior adoption fee of $150.00 per dog for qualified adopters ($300.00 combined senior-to-senior adoption fee). Story
Meet Sagemoor (also known as "Sage")! This gorgeous girl was born approximately May 3, 2021 and our best guess to breed is a Brittany Spaniel possibly Border Collie mix. She was found by a Franklin County Sheriff dumped out near Columbia River Rd in Pasco WA. An amazing volunteer went to get to her. While initially hesitant, she was eventually leashed and loaded into the car heading for a new life! She has spent time at Mattox Dog Training Academy and is ready to find her forever family! Sage is a VERY active dog, if you are a runner /hiker avid outdoor person, she’s your girl. She loves to run and get her zoomies out and is very obedient - eager to please! She will take a bit to warm up to new people but her love is deep once she does. She is the absolute best cuddle buddy, the sofa is her preferred cuddle zone. Sage will do well as an only dog or with other canine companions - she seems to prefer males. Her best fit home will be one with adults or adults and kids over the age of 8, and one with a fully fenced yard. Apply for Sage at www.mikeyschance.com

Good with dogs,
Story
Betty is an approximately two-year old Brittany with a tail.  She is very energetic, loves people, is very affectionate, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. When Betty came into rescue she had a painful, chronically infected, congenitally blind eye.  After consultation with the vet, NBRAN had the defective eye removed and Betty has thrived now that she is out of pain.  Because of the blindness in her one eye, we will not place Betty in a home with young children or overly active dogs who could startle her.   Betty is a bigger brit and weights close to 50 pounds.  She is current on her vaccinations, HW negative, spayed, housebroken, and crate-trained.     Betty will need a home with a good-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence so she can run her favorite zoomies.  A yard with trees and bushes for birds would be heaven for Betty because she is very birdy and loves to go on point.  She will need an active adopter or family that will provide the daily exercise she needs.  Betty would do well with a regular walker or runner.  Her new owner will be expected to continue working with her on leash work and manners.  The adoption fee for Betty $400.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making Betty a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Betty is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from central CA with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.March 16, 2025, 11:19 pm

Story
Juliet is an 6 year old adorable full tailed girl.  She loves other dogs and currently is helping her brother get around and he has developed vision problems.  She does like her exercise time outside and likes her personal time with her human. Juliet would do better with another dog or a human that makes her their whole world.  She enjoys doing Brittany things like checking out her yard and chasing what she can find plus lying in the sun.  She will need a secure yard with a 6 foot fence. Juliet enjoys sleeping with her humans and being loved on, telling her she is a special girl and her tail makes her more beautiful. Juliet is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  She  will do fine in a home without  young children as she has never experienced them and they can be intimating. A home with older, responsible children should be fine.  She is not cat friendly so no home with cats. Please consider adding this sweet girl to your home. Juliet’s adoption fee is $350.00.  If you are interested in making Juliet a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Juliet is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from LA with the last leg (100) being driven by the adopter.    March 7, 2025, 7:16 pm
