Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Meet Remy a sweet 4 year old Orange & White spayed female currently in a great foster home in Northwest Georgia who is dreaming of a Home of her very Own!  Remy is a beautiful and playful girl whose smile can brighten even the darkest of day. She is also a trickster with a great sense of humor who loves to play games with her foster, go for adventurous car ride or simply relax while chewing a bone or being petted.  Remy loves to be the center of attention and certainly prefer people over other animals, especially other dogs. So, Remy is looking for a new home where she will be the ONLY dog in the home. Remy’s new home will also need to have a physically fenced yard to help keep her safe. Remy walks well on a loose leash but will need continued training as her foster says” some days are better than others,” due in part to her wanting to smell everything, as well as, Remy does have a strong prey drive and loves to chase critters including pesky flying things like flies.    Remy is completely up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, micro chipped and spayed, so now all that’s missing is a place to call Home Forever! Is that your home? If so, please consider filling out an application online at: http://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application, Once you application is received the coordinator in the State where you reside will be in touch to follow-up. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators Remy’s adoption fee is 400.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like Remy back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in Northwestern Georgia or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Remy to her new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Story
Hi, I'm Ramsey!  I'm a mighty handsome 7 1/2 year old purebred orange/white brittany weighing about 42 pounds. I recently found myself in need of a new home when my mom passed away. She's had me my whole life, so things look a little bit different now. Can you help me find my way to my new home? I've got a heart full of sweetness and a mind that's as sharp as a tack. I've got energy to burn and a playful spirit that can't be tamed. I'm a bit of a lone wolf and have always been an only dog. I don't mind companionship sometimes, but usually want to do my own thing. I do have a dominant personality.  The great outdoors is my playground and water? Oh boy, do I love a good splash!  I even like baths! I'm also pretty keen on anything that moves. I'm told I have a great point.  I'm also told I have some quirks, but who doesn't right?  You see, my mom used a laser pointer to play with me when I was young, so now I fixate on and chase shadows and moving light.  I'm a real smart cookie and know sit, stay, back, shake/paw, leave it and no. I'm looking for someone who can keep up with my energetic lifestyle, who has a physically fenced yard that I can run and play in, and a pool or watering hole of some kind would be a bonus!  My favorite place to be is outside and I love chewing on sticks and chasing after a ball. I'm housebroken and crate trained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. I'm overall a well-mannered gentleman.  If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent and independent companion, please consider opening your heart and home to me! You can submit an adoption application to www.nbran.org and mention my name! I am currently located in eastern NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 or so miles.  My adoption fee is $350 to help cover my vetting and help NBRAN continue to rescue pups like me!  For any further questions, please email jessica@thesouthernway.comNovember 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Hey Everyone, I’m Sienna an almost 4-year-old spayed female Brittany searching for the right place to call Home Forever!    Right now, I’m enjoying the good life in a great foster home here in Southeast PA. My foster Mom says I’m a complete sweetheart, even though the first 3 years of my life were not the best. You see, before coming into NBRAN I lived in a placed called Louisiana, where my previous owner kept me and several other Britts hidden away in a closed down building that was until March of this year, when we were finally discovered by the kind people at Louisiana Animal Control, you can read about our rescue here https://stlandrypg.org/2024/03/st-landry-parish-investigators-arrest-man-on-animal-cruelty-charges/    Since coming to my foster home here in PA, I have learned so many things like, snuggling with my furry foster sister Emma is great and so is pulling all the toys out of the toy box just to take then outside with me when foster Mom isn’t looking. I can still be a bit nervous when first seeing a new person, but if you wait with your hand down, I will soon be your best friend. I also enjoy lying on the bed and getting belly rubs too. Toys are my favorite, and I have one or two, “babies”, that I like to have near me all the time too!    Car rides do make me nervous, but if you let me sit right next to you I will lay my head on your lap and relax and enjoy the trip. My foster Mom says I still have puppy tendencies too, which means I’m still have some learning to do.  I’m good on leash but still need work on basic commands. I will also need lots of chewing options and loud noises are scary. I have also been crate trained with another dog that is relaxed like me. I love other dogs, cats, kids and other animals too. I would love a New Home with a physically fenced yard and also another dog or two who loves to run and play too.    I’m spayed, micro chipped, and up to date on vaccines. I have also completed Heartworm treatment and will NEED be keep on Heartworm Prevention, as well as, must sure to have regular check out with my vet! Now all that’s missing it my Forever Home, Is that your home? If so, please consider filling out an application for ME Sienna online at: http://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application.    Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you.  Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators. My adoption fee is 400.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like me, Sienna, good health and readying them for adoption.    Don't live in Southeast PA or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Brits like me, Sienna, to their new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Still have questions? Contact Pennsylvania Coordinator Chris Eddinger at ceddinger@verizon.net Thank you.   November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm
