Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  October 14, 2024, 1:01 pm

Story
Meet Remi Rem: The Handsome Fun-Loving Brittany Boy! Hello out there! My name is Remi Rem, and I’m one of the handsomest lads around—just look at my 51 lbs of orange and white roan beauty! I’m 5 years old, neutered, and all set with my vaccines. I’m heartworm and tick negative, and I’m on prevention, so I’m a healthy boy! Crate trained. Housebroken. (Not good with Chickens) Why You’ll Love Me: Playtime Pro: I love toys, daycare, and playing with other dogs. I’m a pro at having fun! Leash Champ: I’m great on a leash, so we can go on walks and adventures together. Gentle Communicator: I get along with other dogs, but if I’ve had enough, I’ll let them know with a gentle grrr—no fuss, just boundaries! Critter Chaser: Give me a yard with a fence, and I’ll hunt down all those critters and chase balls to my heart’s content! (Fence needs to be wrought iron or privacy.) My Dream Home: I’d love a family to call my own. I can be with or without another dog, but if there’s a sibling, they need to be laid-back like me. We can play tag, explore the yard, and live our best lives together! If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s ready for action and affection, I’m your guy! Let’s make every day an adventure filled with love and play! Remi Rem is ready to find his forever home, could it be with you? The adoption fee for OK/Remi Rem who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $350,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Remi Rem  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Remi Rem. Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.      October 14, 2024, 1:01 pm

Story
Please contact Marie for more information about this pet.Gunner is a 5-month-old Brittany who loves playing with his sister Sophie. He and his sister, Sophie, were surrendered together and are being fostered together in Wisconsin. Gunner and Sophie do not need to be adopted together. Gunner loves all of his toys including squeakies, tug rope, balls and bones.  He loves treats and ice cubes which help tremendously for learning commands. He knows how to sit and lay, but is still working on come, shake, not jumping on people and overall manners.  He tugs pretty hard on the leash as there is just so much to explore.  Because he gets overly excited, Gunner jumps on people, but his foster mom is working with him.  Because of his jumping, Gunner will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  He will need continued training on all commands and manners as this is a work in progress.  Gunner loves cuddling with people, especially on the couch and bed.  He is a good rider in the car, pontoon boat and UTV.  He is very vocal and loves to bark to let you know what he wants. HI! I'm Gunner and would love a forever home. I am very loving and easy going, and would love to be your buddy!  My foster Mom calls me her Velcro dog.  I am always at her feet or on her lap, she can’t leave the room without me at her heels, I just like to be very close to my humans.  I give the best hugs to my foster Mom, especially when she lets me sleep in her bed!  I don’t sleep through the night, especially when I am in my kennel, so my foster parents let me sleep in bed with them.  My foster Mom brings me regularly to the doggie park so I can run off leash.  Oh, and did I mention what my favorite toy is?  I absolutely love my balls!  I will play fetch and bring the ball back most of the time, also if you don’t have time to play fetch with me, I will bat the ball around and entertain myself with it.  I am very smart and quickly learning my commands, I will also test you to see what I can get away with. Gunner will need daily exercise with his new family as well as lots of love and attention. He will need a lot of different types of toys to keep him entertained.  Gunner would be most happy in a home that has somebody with him most of the time as he is very attached to his humans and doesn’t like it when he is not with you.  He’s been checked from nose to tail and is up to date on all his vaccines, heartworm negative, micro-chipped and on preventative.  Now all that’s missing is his Furever Home!  If you are interested in making WI/Gunner  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org.
