Double the Fun: Meet Jack & Sissy! Howdy, friends! I’m Jack Mac, a 49 lb orange and white Brittany boy, and I never go anywhere without my sister and best buddy, Sissy. We’re a bonded pair, which means you get double the love, double the fun, and double the cuddles! Why We’re Your Perfect Pair: I’m the Toy King: I love carrying my toys everywhere—it’s my thing! Fetch? Yes, please. Tug? You got it. Sissy might try to steal my toys, but I let her because I’m a gentleman. Cuddle Masters: Sissy and I are expert snugglers. If you’re sitting down, expect both of us to climb into your lap for all the love—and maybe a nap or two. Critter Patrol Experts: With a fenced yard, we’ll chase all the squirrels, birds, and leaves to keep your yard safe from boredom. Good with Everyone: Cats? Cool. Kids? Love them. Dogs? Bring it on. We’re a social pair who love making friends. Fun Facts About Me (Jack): I’m housebroken and crate trained (as long as I can see my sister—it’s a package deal!). I’m working on my leash manners, but hey, who doesn’t like a challenge? I know commands like sit, stay, come, and even “easy” (whatever that means, I’m just naturally cool). If you’re looking for a pair of loving, playful, and goofy pups, Jack & Sissy are ready to fill your home with laughter, love, and a whole lot of tail wags! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 The adoption fee for TX/Jack Mac, who lives in Sanger, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Jack  part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com  and/or Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Jack.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  January 23, 2025, 3:55 pm

Story
Hi. My name is Pete. I'm a 4-year-old, orange and white Brittany who was born with cataracts in both eyes, then I went blind.    When I was blind, I engaged in compulsive repetitive   behaviors, such as spinning, barking, and pica (eating non-food items). The surgery was successful and I can see again. As a result, I acquired an additional compulsive behavior; eyeing light and shadows. Fortunately, with the help of medication, all these compulsive behaviors have improved a great deal, with the exception of pica.   My favorite toy is a black Kong. My foster mom gave it to me because I can't bite through it. I love to fetch and retrieve and could do so all day long.  Being able to see is such a blessing If I have difficulty finding my Kong when it bounces to a hidden place, I'm good at a game called Hot and Cold. I respond well to the command " leave it!" when I find something I want to put in my mouth. I also respond well to the command "drop!" after an object is already in my mouth.   I weigh 35 lb and like to stay active. Since I like to move around a lot, perhaps one day my foster mom could teach me how to wiggle my tush to " Nothing But a Hound Dog."   I'm not a picky eater and will swallow anything I put in my mouth. That is why I cannot be left alone unsupervised because I swallow things that I shouldn't. When I am anxious, white noise helps me to stay calm and focused.    I do not get along with other dogs and probably not cats. As for children, I don't know how well I would get along with them because I haven't really been exposed to them.   I walk well on a leash and have perfect recall. I'm up to date on all my vaccines and I am in good health. However, I require eye drops everyday once per day.    I love to ride in the car and watch the world go by. I want to please and will do anything I'm asked. Despite my pica, I am a happy dog and when I'm tired I will sit and cuddle on my foster mom's lap.    I'm very thankful for all the care I have received. It has been done with devotion by the people at nbran. I hope that soon I will be in a permanent home with a loving family.     I will need eye drops for life, and I really don't mind them. My foster mother tells me "Chin." This reminds me to rest my head in her hand so she can put the drops in my eyes.March 15, 2025, 11:24 am

Foster to Adopt - Could I be the one to fit into your home?  If you think it could work, you can foster me for 3 weeks. Then you can adopt me!!  Approval from your State/Regional Coordinator is required. Please fill out an adoption application first to get approved. Once approved, you will just need to fill out a foster application. I hope you and I will be a good match for each other! Meet KC – Your Forever Goofy Gentleman If you’ve been searching for a dog with a heart of gold, a goofy grin, and a soul that’s overflowing with love – your journey ends with me, KC. I’m a 2-year-old, 45 lb liver-and-white Brittany/Aussie mix with the cutest freckles, a docked tail that never stops wagging, and eyes that will melt your heart. I’m healthy, vaccinated, neutered, heartworm & tick negative, and on monthly prevention. I'm still polishing up my potty training skills, but I’m smart and eager to please – just give me guidance and a belly rub, and I’ll be your perfect boy in no time. They say I’m the kind of dog who will follow you anywhere – and it’s true. I don’t want to let you out of my sight, because being close to my person is where I’m happiest. I’m a cuddle bug, a treat lover, a great leash walker, and a loyal shadow who’s always up for a walk, a hike, or a snuggle on the couch. A fenced yard and maybe a playful buddy would make my dreams come true. Cats? I’ve met them before, and I was a total gentleman. Crates? Not my favorite. But give me a cozy space and your love, and I’ll settle in just fine. The kind volunteer who spent time with me said I was sweet, funny, and had the best recall. I promise to bring joy, laughter, loyalty, and love to every moment we spend together. Could you be the one to give me the forever home I’ve been dreaming of? The adoption fee for OK/KC, who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $325,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/KC part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org . A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of KC.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    March 23, 2025, 11:13 am

Story
Meet Sadie Rose – The Gentle Girl With a Heart of Gold Hello, I’m Sadie Rose – a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent girl who’s patiently waiting to find a calm and loving forever home. I may not have had the easiest start in life, but my heart is full of love to give. I came from a breeder where I had a litter or two, but those days are behind me now. I’m looking forward to a future where I’m not just “a dog,” but truly someone’s beloved companion. When I first arrived at my foster home, I didn’t know any commands – but I’m a quick learner! My foster dad says I’m very smart and eager to please. I’ve picked up on my training well and enjoy learning new things. While I’m not timid, I can be a bit cautious when meeting new people. Give me a little time, space, and kindness, and I’ll soon be your most loyal shadow, following you everywhere you go. Young children? Not really my thing – their energy and need for constant attention are a bit much for me. But if you’re a quiet, retired couple or a single person who values peace and companionship, we could be a perfect match. I absolutely love my daily walks – sniffing around the neighborhood, spotting birds, and soaking in all the new scents is the highlight of my day. I’m a good leash walker and very well-behaved. I also enjoy car rides, especially in my foster dad’s pickup with the window cracked open – there’s nothing like the breeze and a good critter-spotting session! At home, I adore having a fenced yard to do my zoomies and keep the yard clear of birds and squirrels. I would do best as a only dog. My safe place is a covered crate, where I sleep through the night peacefully – no midnight potty breaks, I promise! What I’m Looking For: A quiet, calm home A human (or two) to bond with and love deeply A comfy bed (or lap!) to snuggle in A fenced yard for zoomies and bird patrol A life full of gentle moments and kind people From Foster Mom:  Sadie has already stolen her foster dad’s heart, and now she’s ready to steal yours too. If you're looking for a devoted, soulful, and gentle companion, Sadie may be just the girl you’ve been waiting for. Sadie is a spayed, almost 4 yr old, 34# orange/white Brittany. Housebroken, crate trained, utd on vaccines, heartworm/tick neg and on prevention. The adoption fee for TX/Sadie Rose, who lives in Piedmont, SD  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Sadie Rose part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org . A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Sadie Rose.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  March 23, 2025, 3:38 pm
