Story
“Hi! Cookie here, I'm a 32 pound, 6.5 years old, orange and white spayed female Brittany. I was sad for a while when my previous owner, whom I loved greatly, passed away. But I am in a great foster home now and feeling much better. I am looking for a forever home filled with belly rubs, long walks, and lots of love! I would love to find a home that can give me the active lifestyle and ample affection I need. I am a sweet gentle lady who likes to keep my people company, play with my foster dog brother, run off-leash at the dog park, and enjoy curling up next to you on the couch. I need a fenced-in yard because I love spending time outside. I am fond of my voice and like to speak up when I’m excited, need to go out, announce when you come and go, or when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I am getting better at keeping quiet as I learn to feel safe and settled, but will need to keep working on building self-confidence and learning how else to express myself. I am a well-mannered joyful lady, ready to give you kisses and keep your yard safe from critters!” Cookie will need continued training, lots of attention, and daily exercise in her new home. She is still working on leash manners and self-soothing when she is anxious and excited. Cookie is house-trained and familiar with a crate but not fully crate-trained. She needs a home with a reasonably sized yard and a 6-foot physical fence to meet her activity level needs. With her vocal nature, she would not do well in an apartment or shared living situation. She does well with other dogs. She has not been around cats or small animals and has a high prey drive. She also has not been around children in her foster home but would likely do well with older children. Cookie is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm-negative, and microchipped. If interested in finding out more about Cookie, contact Dave Voeltz at voeltzmail@midco.net. Her adoption fee is $350 and she is in foster care in Minnesota. She can be transported up to 1,400 miles to that special home that is a good fit for her. Thanks for considering this beautiful girl. November 14, 2024, 7:57 pm
