Story
Double the Fun: Meet Jack & Sissy! Howdy, friends! I’m Jack Mac, a 49 lb orange and white Brittany boy, and I never go anywhere without my sister and best buddy, Sissy. We’re a bonded pair, which means you get double the love, double the fun, and double the cuddles! Why We’re Your Perfect Pair: I’m the Toy King: I love carrying my toys everywhere—it’s my thing! Fetch? Yes, please. Tug? You got it. Sissy might try to steal my toys, but I let her because I’m a gentleman. Cuddle Masters: Sissy and I are expert snugglers. If you’re sitting down, expect both of us to climb into your lap for all the love—and maybe a nap or two. Critter Patrol Experts: With a fenced yard, we’ll chase all the squirrels, birds, and leaves to keep your yard safe from boredom. Good with Everyone: Cats? Cool. Kids? Love them. Dogs? Bring it on. We’re a social pair who love making friends. Fun Facts About Me (Jack): I’m housebroken and crate trained (as long as I can see my sister—it’s a package deal!). I’m working on my leash manners, but hey, who doesn’t like a challenge? I know commands like sit, stay, come, and even “easy” (whatever that means, I’m just naturally cool). If you’re looking for a pair of loving, playful, and goofy pups, Jack & Sissy are ready to fill your home with laughter, love, and a whole lot of tail wags! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 The adoption fee for TX/Jack Mac, who lives in Sanger, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Jack  part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com  and/or Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Jack.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  January 23, 2025, 3:55 pm

Story
Meet Betty Sue: The Confident, Blanket-Loving Queen! Betty Sue is one-of-a-kind—a confident, adaptable pup who marches to the beat of her own drum. She settles into new places quickly, isn’t fazed by loud noises, chaos, or high-energy environments, and loves blankets (seriously, she’s a blanket connoisseur!). (11 yrs old, 30 lbs of lovable orange/white spayed Brittany.  UTD on vaccines, HW/Tick Neg and on prevention.  Just had a dental and had 12 teeth pulled, and she never missed a beat. Does have some cataracts, but can see and enjoy life. Not on any meds.  Healthy. Housebroken.) Why You’ll Love Betty Sue: &#226&#156&#148 Confident & Fearless – New places? No problem. Loud noises? Whatever. This girl is ready to take on the world! &#226&#156&#148 Affectionate (On Her Terms) – Loves a good cuddle session but also respects your personal space. &#226&#156&#148 Dog & Kid Friendly – Gets along well with other dogs and children, making her a great family pup. &#226&#156&#148 Vocalizes – Happy funny noises.  &#226&#156&#148 A Total Blanket Enthusiast – If it’s soft and cozy, she’s claiming it. Her Quirky Side (AKA Areas for Growth ): Lacks Manners (or Thinks She’s Royalty?) – Betty Sue may believe the world revolves around her. She’s an opportunist, meaning if she sees a chance to grab something off the counter… she just might. Curious & Bold – She’s got a strong independent streak, which means she might test some boundaries (but hey, that’s part of her charm!). Final Thoughts: Betty Sue is a fun, confident, and loving girl who would thrive in a home where she can be both adored and kept in check (because let’s face it, she runs the show). She’s a great representation of her breed, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Are you ready for this sassy, blanket-loving queen to rule your home? The adoption fee for OK/Betty Sue, who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $250,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Betty Sue  part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org . A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Betty Sue.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  January 29, 2025, 4:29 pm

Story
Meet Koi, a beautiful black & white spaniel mix with a long fluffy tail, who is waiting for her very own home. She was found as a stray with another dog, who was claimed to have been her son. She is believed to be around 3 years old, but could be slightly younger. She is house trained and crate trained and rides great in the car.  She also walks nicely on leash.  Koi is timid of new people, but warms up fairly quickly, especially when there is a treat involved. She is also cautious with new dogs, but has done well with all she has met. Her meet & greets should be supervised, until she is comfortable. She seeks more human attention, but seems more comfortable with females than males. She is energetic and will jump up on people. She does know sit,  stay and is easily trainable.  She is VERY treat motivated.  Koi needs an experienced dog owner, who can continue her training. She needs to be allowed to approach new people at her comfort level, and encourage her to gain confidence. We are unsure what happened to her before coming into rescue, but she does lack some trust.  She comes around quickly, though, so with the right owner, who allows her to do so, she will flourish.   Koi loves belly rubs, and would love to be your companion.  She'll follow her human around and lay quietly beside them. So, while she is energetic, she also is content to chill with her human. Koi doesn't seem to have a tremendous prey drive, and is content is just lay in the yard or inside on the couch.  She will certainly bark at strangers, so she would be a good guard dog. Cats are unknown. She did seem interested when she saw one, and if given the chance would probably chase. She has done fine with older, considerate kids, but again is cautious and timid at first.  Koi has recently finished heartworm treatment, is spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in SC and available to be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 or so miles.  Her adoption fee is $325. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet girl  You can submit an adoption application to www.nbran.org and mention her name.
