Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  July 6, 2024, 5:27 pm

Story
Please contact Suzanne (ztasuzanne@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Take a look at this handsome boy! Max is a 2 year old orange roan 37 lb purebred male French Brittany. Max is neutered, heartworm negative and is UTD on his vaccines. He was surrendered by a French Brittany Breeder in Northeast Tennessee and is being fostered in the Memphis, Tn area. He is housetrained, crate trained and walks fairly well on a leash (his leash skills need some fine tuning). Max is eager to please but he is initially very timid and skittish. Once he warms up, he is a lovebug. He is more skittish of men than women. Max needs a patient home that understands he is cautious and slow to trust. He is startled easily by loud noises. Max is such a good boy, but in typical Brittany fashion has been caught counter surfing on occasion. Being only 2 years of age, Max still has lots of puppy tendencies like chewing. He is moderately active and sometimes prefers to be napping on the couch while his Brittany foster brother and sisters are outside pointing and chasing anything that flies. He has not been witnessed digging or trying to escape, but he sure can jump. Because of this, Max will need a 6 foot physical fence. Max is not a candidate for an invisible fence. Once Max trusts you, he will be your shadow and quickly becomes a lapdog! He is food motivated but not food aggressive. After watching him interact with his foster pack, his foster mom and dad feel he will need a doggie furbrother or fursister in his new home. It seems to make him more secure. Max will be a great pet for the right family. Max's adoption fee is $400. This adoption fee helps cover the costs of vaccines, medical incidentals and spay/neuter. Don't forget, NBRAN will transport adopted Brittanys up to 1400 miles with the adopter only being responsible for the last approximately 100 miles. If you would like to learn more about Max, please submit an adoption application by clicking this link https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application and contact Tennessee State Coordinators Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com OR Debbie Tuthill      Agilitybrits@epbfi.com            July 6, 2024, 5:27 pm

Story
WOW! What a beautiful boy! Willet  is an orange roan 30 lb. neutered male Brittany born 4-17-23 and is AKC Registerable. He is heartworm negative and up to date on all vaccines.  He will be due vaccines again in July 2024.  In the Southern Summer heat, he has learned to enjoy cold ice cubes and loves them! Willet is housetrained and extremely affectionate. Even though Willet is affectionate and even tempered, he will only be adopted to a home with older considerate children. He has never bitten a child, but younger children make him nervous. Willet wants to be by your side constantly, but he also loves to be outside investigating.  His foster mom crates him when he is left at home alone and when he sleeps at night. He likes to speak, but he doesn't just bark for the heck of it!  In his previous home, Little Willet had to have surgery because he chewed up and ingested a blanket. He will do best, at least initially, with no bedding or plush toys which he can ingest. Willet's foster mom calls Willet is a snuggle bug! This smart boy has had some obedience training and knows basic commands. His foster mom is working on other commands. Willet came from a loving home and is very well socialized. Do you think your home is the perfect home for Willet?  Submit an adoption application at https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application Willet's adoption fee is $400 to offset vetting and allow NBRAN to keep rescuing Brittanys.  For more information reach out to Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@epbfi.com  July 6, 2024, 5:27 pm

Story
Meet Marlie, an adorable 3 year old female Brittany/English Setter mix.  Marlie is searching for a home with a large fenced yard, so she can run and explore. She loves to be outside! She's a goofy girl who loves to snuggle and roll around on the bed. She's been very well taken care of and will need to continue the luxury of being able to be on the human furniture and be the princess of the palace.  She is searching for an active family. She is fine to coexist with another dog,  but usually likes to keep to herself. So, another dog that does not want to initiate play, such as an older dog, would be perfect for Marlie. She is good with cats.  Marlie loves to swim, so a home with a pool or water access, would be a bonus!  She has not had much experience with kids, but can be jumpy sometimes, so young kids would probably not be best.  Marlie does pull some on a leash, which is typical of her breed, wanting to follow her nose! She is housebroken, spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She weighs about 40 pounds, is liver/white in color and has a beautiful long tail. Marlie is such a sweet girl and would love to have an active home, with space to run and water to cool off in! She loves to be a part of the family and up for any adventure.  Marlie is currently in Greensboro NC and is available to be transported up to 1400 miles, with her adopter driving the last 100 miles.  Her adoption fee is $325.  If you're interested in adopting Marlie, please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention her name!
