Story
Handsome Duke is so deserving of that royal title!  This is a majestic liver and white Brittany with beautiful markings and a sweet demeanor. Duke came to NBRAN as an owner surrender. Sadly, Duke had an infected eye a few years back he had to have his left eye removed. Because of his blindness in his one eye, Duke will not be placed in a home with young children or overly active dogs that could startle him.    Duke is laid back and while he doesn't mind other dogs, he's just as happy to entertain himself.  His latest hobby is running in his backyard looking for winged creatures to bark at like the true bird dog that he is!  He would need a nice, fenced yard so he can run around and chase all the birds and critters.  Duke is housebroken and easily learned to use his foster's doggy door right away.  He has had no accidents in the house.  He has also earned is foster's trust to the point where he need not be crated overnight any longer or when left at home for extended periods.  He is always sure to find the comfiest cushioned spot to lay! Training is ongoing and Duke has mastered "sit" and "wait" and will faithfully do so before feeding or walking.   Leash walking is a work in progress and the proper halter or collar (and some more practice) will help.   Duke is pretty good about counter surfing but if a tasty looking morsel is left too close to the edge, he may take advantage of the situation.  Continued training will likely take care of that. This charming boy will need a physical fence to prevent him finding an interesting diversion in another yard.  Duke will do best in a home where his family is committed to continue his training and provide consistent reinforcement.  He might be best suited as an only dog where he doesn't need to share attention but would also thrive with a canine buddy of similar size. The adoption fee for Duke is 350.00 which helps to offset NBRAN's vetting and to help medical care for Brittanys in foster care. He is UTD on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and is microchipped. He weighs 50 pounds, He is not overweight, just a solid boy.  Duke can be transported up to 1400 miles via the Canine Railroad with the new family driving the last leg.  Please complete an application at NBRAN.org and your state coordinator will be in touch. Duke is located in Kentucky. You may contact the Kentucky state coordinator's if you have any additional questions. Neca neca227@gmail.com or Amy amypgay@gmail.com      September 15, 2024, 2:59 pm

Meet Henry Clay: A Handsome, Lovable Brittany Mix Looking for His Forever Home Hello, I'm Henry Clay, a 4-year-old, 44 lb red and white Brittany mix with a heart full of love to give! I was lucky enough to become a NBRAN Brittany wanna-be, and they've promised to find me a wonderful, loving home. I’ve got a unique mix of Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in my lineage, making me as charming and lovable as they come. Why I’m the Perfect Addition to Your Family: Healthy and Ready: I’m up-to-date on all my vaccines, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. I had surgery for cherry eye, as you can see my eye looks perfect now! Playful and Social: Even though I've been in boarding, I’ve had plenty of fun playing with other dogs, splashing in the water, and enjoying my toys. I’ve been spoiled, but now I’m ready for my very own family to love me. Lovable Companion: I promise to be just as lovable as any purebred Brittany. I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who just wants to be part of a family. My Dream Family: I’m looking for a patient and loving family who understands that I may need a little time to adjust to home life after being in boarding. But don’t worry—I’m eager to learn and will quickly become your best friend. Will you be the family to say, "That's my baby boy"? I’m ready to meet you and start our new adventure together! The adoption fee for OK/Henry Clay who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $325,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Henry Clay  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Henry Clay. Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    September 15, 2024, 2:59 pm

Meet Biggins: Your Future Cuddle Buddy and Partner! Hello there! My name is Biggins, and I'm on the lookout for my forever loving home. I’m a handsome 2 ½-year-old, 43 lb orange and white Brittany with a heart as big as my paws! I’m neutered, housebroken, up-to-date on all my vaccines, and just finished my heartworm treatment, so I’m ready for a fresh start with my new family. Why I’m the Perfect Pup for You: Big Cuddle Bug: I love cuddles, laps, and being close to my humans. I’m happiest when I can see you and be by your side every moment. Playful Spirit: As a Brittany, I love to run, fetch, and play. I need a 5-foot physical fenced-in yard (wrought iron or wooden, no chain-link) so I can chase any critters that might be lurking around! I would love another fun, cuddling doggie sibling, too!!! Great Companion: If you work from home, I’ll be the best supervisor you’ve ever had. I promise to keep you company and make sure you take plenty of breaks for play, and snuggles. Loving and Social: I’m a very happy boy who loves dogs and everyone I meet. My foster human even let me sleep in bed with him and my fur-siblings, so I’m a bit spoiled—but who doesn’t love a good cuddle? My Dream Home: A family who is home most of the time and loves to spend time with me. A safe, fenced yard where I can run and play to my heart’s content. Lots of love, cuddles, and fun! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion who will fill your days with joy and your nights with snuggles, look no further. I’m Biggins, and I’m ready to be your forever love! The adoption fee for OK/Biggins, who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Biggins part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Biggins. Meet Lilly Marie: The Gorgeous Brittany Girl Looking for Love! Hi! My name is Lilly Marie, and I’m just as pretty as my name suggests! I’m a 2 ½-year-old, 39 lb liver and white Brittany girl, and I’m on the hunt for my forever family. I’m healthy, up-to-date on all my vaccines, heartworm and tick negative, housebroken, and on prevention. Why You’ll Love Me: Playful Spirit: I love playing in the kiddy/doggie pool and running around the yard, so a 4-foot physical fence is a must for me to safely chase, hunt, and play! Tummy Tickle Queen: I adore tummy rubs, scratches, and, of course, treats! Cuddle Buddy: I’m all about cuddles and would love a bed partner—I used to sleep with my previous daddy and brother, and I miss that snuggle time! Messy Drinker: Foster Mom says I’m a messy drinker, but hey, nobody’s perfect, right? From Foster Mom: “Lilly Marie has the loving, active, and easy-going temperament that Brittanys are known for. She bonds quickly with her humans, especially men, because her previous owner was a man who passed away. Lilly was scared at first when she lost her brother and owner, but she’s shown such resilience. She’s sweet, loves people, and gets along well with our 13 Brittanys and even the cat! She doesn’t like crates, but we’re working on it. She’s an absolute sweetheart who just wants companionship.” My Dream Home: I’m looking for a loving home where I can play, cuddle, and get all the tummy tickles my heart desires! If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet girl who will be your best friend, I’m ready to meet you! Lilly Marie can’t wait to find her forever family. Could it be you? Story
Meet Scout Ty: The Goofy, Loving Brittany Ready for His Forever Home! Hello, I’m Scout Ty, a almost 10 year-old, 60 lb liver and white Brittany, and I’m on the lookout for my next forever family. I’m working on slimming down my cute figure, but even with a few extra pounds, I’m all about love, cuddles, and having fun! I’m neutered, housebroken, and crate trained (though I’m so well-behaved, I don’t need it). Why You’ll Fall in Love with Me: Affectionate & Fun: I’m a goofy guy who loves to be loved! Cuddles, rubs, and water are my favorite things, and I’m always up for some fun! Great with Dogs: I get along with other dogs and would love to have some siblings, but I’m perfectly happy being your one and only too. Well-Behaved: I can be left alone in the house for hours, and I won’t get into anything—I’m a gentleman like that. Active & Resilient: When I was just a year old, I hurt my left front leg and have a screw in it, but it doesn’t stop me! I run, play, and enjoy life without any problems. A Little About Me: I know my basic commands like sit, come, paw, and lay down, and I’m always eager to learn more. Sometimes I’m a little hard of hearing, but that just adds to my charm—it’s possible I’m just pretending not to hear you! I’ve also been told I have a very minor heart murmur (1/6), but another vet couldn’t hear it, so it’s nothing to worry about. I lost my previous owner, and now I’m searching for a loving home where I can bring joy, love, and my goofy smile. Will you be the one to open your heart to me? I promise you won’t be disappointed! The adoption fee for OK/Scout Ty who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $250,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Scout Ty  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Scout Ty.
