Story
Hi. My name is Pete. I'm a 4-year-old, orange and white Brittany who was born with cataracts in both eyes: then I went blind.    When I was blind, I engaged in compulsive repetitive  behaviors, such as spinning, barking, and pica (eating non-food items). I had successful eye surgery and now I can see again.  As a result of me regaining my vision, I acquired a new compulsive behavior; eyeing light and shadows. Fortunately, with the help of my medication, my compulsive behaviors, with the exception of pica,  have improved a greatly.    My favorite toy is a black Kong. My foster mom thought it would be good for me because I can't bite through it. I love to fetch and retrieve and could do it all day long. B eing able to see is such a blessing.  If I have trouble finding my Kong, I'm good at a game called Hot and Cold. I respond well to the command  "leave it!" when I find something I want to put in my mouth. I listen well to the command "drop!" when I put an object in my mouth. I weigh 35 lb and I like to stay active. Maybe my foster mom could teach me how to wiggle my tush to  "Nothing But a Hound Dog."   I am not picky about what I eat and will try to swallow anything I put in my mouth. Because I like to swallow everything, I should not be left unsupervised.  When I get anxious, a soothing white noise helps me to stay calm.    I do not get along with other dogs and probably not cats. I have never been around children. I am not sure if I would get along with them or not.    I am a great  leash walker and have perfect recall. I'm up to date on all my vaccines and, other than requiring my eye drops once a day, I am in good health.    I love to ride in the car and watch the world go by as I look out the window.  I am eager to please and will do anything my foster mom ask of me.   I am a happy dog and when I'm tired I love to sit and cuddle in my foster mom's lap.    I'm very thankful for all the care I have received. It has been done with devotion by the people at nbran. I hope that soon I will be in a permanent home with a loving family.     I will need to take my eye drops for the rest of my life, When my foster mother tells me "Chin,"  I rest my head in her hand so she can put the drops in my eyes. My adoption Fee is $400 to help offset my medical expenses and to allow NBRAN to rescue other Brittanys.    NBRAN will provide transportation, up to 1400 miles, to my new approved home.  For more information about me contact Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com or Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.comApril 9, 2025, 2:23 pm

Story
Greetings! My name is Griffin and I'm 5 months old. I'm still young but my foster mom said I'm a pretty good boy most of the time! I'm a pretty typical Brittany puppy -- I love humans (of all ages) and love my canine foster siblings. I like to play -- I'll play tug of war, wrestle, chase -- you name it! I do a really good job of not going to the bathroom in the house -- once I figured out the doggy door the only accident I've had is when it rained and I decided to poop inside (I'm not sure why I did that because I like to play in the rain)! I sleep in my crate at night and apparently I like it because I'm quiet! My mom works from home and she won't let me in her office. Sometimes I look through the gate at her but I'm pretty self-sufficient during the day. Every once in a while I hear her yell -- I can't help it if I try to chew on the leather recliner once or twice a week! When she comes in the kitchen I run over to the treat counter and sit really nicely -- just in case she's feeling generous at that time. Usually she's just getting water but sometimes she will give me a treat! I do have a "power hour" every night when I like to nip at everything and everyone -- my foster mom said I'm like a three year-old human toddler. I flail my paws, trying to get the other dogs to play (they are boring and like to rest in the evenings) and if that doesn't work I nip at the humans). My foster mom said thankfully this doesn't last very long. Otherwise I'm pretty I wear a halo around. I like to run and play outside. Sometimes I bring in gifts for the humans -- like long sticks or dried sunflowers My mom is always using this broom thing -- I don't really understand what it's for but it has bristles that are fun to bite. I like the fence at my house because I can run free and play without anyone worrying. If you need a boy like me at your house -- and you have plenty of attention to give, please let my foster mom know!October 23, 2025, 6:58 pm
