Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Pink noseHI! My name is Anna. Not from FROZEN, even though it sure looks and feels like it outside. I am a sweet southern lady who is looking for her furever home. I am only 9 months young. Me and my sister found ourselves without our hoodad and NBRAN was nice to take us both in since we are part Brittany from our mom, and our furdad was a lab.  I have the best foster mom who has been working with me since I’m still a puppy. She has crate and potty trained me. She is teaching me to walk on a leash. When we go for a walk, I like to talk to people, dogs and cats and tell them hi! I will need a physical fence of at least 4 feet.  I have been spayed and UTD on all my shots and HW preventative. I love to cuddle and snuggle on the couch. I will also give you plenty of smooches! My favorite activities are running, chasing balls, and watching the birds and squirrels.  I have played with a variety of dogs and get along with them.  Me and sister Elsa are not bonded, and we would prefer to have our own family! If you think I would be a good fit for each other, please contact www.nbran.org to submit an application. My adoption fee is 350.00 I am currently located in Georgia however, if you would love to make me a part of your family, NBRAN will transport up to 1400 miles. If any questions please contact neca227@gmail.com or amypgay@gmail.com or karliebreana@gmail.comJanuary 25, 2025, 7:46 pm

Story
Say Hello to Lola! She is a beautiful 4 year 10-month-old female liver and white purebred American Brittany. Lola is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and on heartworm preventative. At her foster home, she loves to interact with her foster pack and enjoys being outdoors.  She has wonderful manners and is a real cuddle bug.  Lola is both housetrained and crate trained, although she is seldom crated at her foster home. Walking on a leash is not Lola’s favorite thing to do because she prefers to be free to run, but she does fairly well when she is walked on a leash.  She is a typical Brittany and is considered active and loves to swim!  Because Lola came from a home with an invisible fence prior to coming to NBRAN, she would be a great candidate for a new home with an invisible fence. Of course she would need a refresher course in her new environment, but would do great.  She would also thrive with a physical fence.  If Lola was offered regular opportunities to socialize, she would be ok as the only dog in the house.  She enjoys the company of her Brittany foster siblings, but is not fond of small dogs or cats.  Do you think your home is a good fit for this  beautiful well-mannered little sweetheart?  If so, submit an application at the following link: https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application.  Lola can be transported up to 1400 miles to the right home. If interested in this precious girl, reach out to Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com.  January 29, 2025, 11:14 am

Story
Please contact Jodi Rosenberg (jodi.rosenberg@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Darling boy, looking for his forever home Diego NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:    Diego        Best Guess for Breed:    Springer/Spaniel mix   Best Guess for Age:    1 year as of Jan 2025       Gender:   male Approximate Weight:    32 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with kids or cats but we can always test. Currently Living At: South Carolina SHELTER. He needs a forever or foster home. Special Adoption Considerations: Diego is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Diego is Looking For: A loving home where he can get lots of attention, exercise, and snuggles. A family to provide plenty of outdoor fun. At just one year old, Diego eager to learn new tricks and refine his skills. Diego is a social dog who is always excited to meet new friends—both human and canine. He would love long walks through the neighborhood and frequent visits to the dog park to meet new friends. If you’re looking for a dog who will be your playful companion and cuddle partner all rolled into one, Diego might just be the perfect fit. He’s ready to find his forever home where he can share all his love and excitement with you.  What My Foster Says About Me: will update when he arrives in the area. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
