Story
Hi everyone!  My name is Triss.  I’m an adorable, one-year old weighing in at 30 lbs. I’m a very curious girl and love following you around the house to see what you’re doing and if I can help.  After an introduction I get along great with other dogs and love to play keep away and wrestle with my Brittany foster sister. I am good with all adults and well-mannered, mature children.  I haven’t been around cats so don’t know if I’d want them in my house. Like most Brittanys, I love hunt critters and will happily defend your yard by chasing and pointing out birds and squirrels.  My favorite toys are bones, stuffed toys, and balls.  After some daily exercise, I enjoy curling up on the couch next to you while you work, watch TV, or read a book.  I do occasionally grab a shoe to try and play with, but my foster family is helping me with my house/leash manners and training.  Despite my puppy tendencies, I am an excellent backseat pup and ride well in the car (properly tethered in, of course) and sleep in my kennel at night.  My ideal home would be somewhere I can stay active and busy. I need a home with a good-sized yard to play in that has a secure 6-foot fence. I also need someone who can give me attention, interaction, and mental stimulation. If I don’t have that, I can get a little mischievous.  I would love to have another pup to play with in my new home.  Daily exercise is a must! Overall, I have good instincts and am a quick learner. My perfect home would be an active family willing to show me patience and love as I work on learning to be the best dog I can be. The adoption fee for Triss is $400.  Triss is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in making Triss a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  If you have questions after you have completed the adoption application, contact Patti at 801.641.4053. Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Triss can be adopted up to 1400 miles from her foster home to eligible adopters. May 2, 2025, 10:59 pm

Story
Bailey is just about as precious as they come. This 37 lbs, 2 year old, beauty was turned into a small shelter in Texas with a litter of pups that were only about a week old. She dutifully protected and raised her little family and now she’s seeing them off to their forever homes one-by-one. Bailey is flourishing now that she gets to be a family pet and no longer has to sacrifice her body for her babies. She’s playful, sweet, smart, friendly and has been putting on some much-needed weight. Bailey is in foster care with other dogs, older kids, and even a dog savvy cat – you heard that right – she’s been great with all. We have discovered her to be crate trained (and enjoys a snooze in there if allowed during the day), house trained on a schedule and routine and is a lover of fetch! She will readily hop onto the bed or couch to get in your lap, too! We are seeking a home with a fenced in yard for this lovely lady and humans that love affectionate dogs! Bailey is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/bailey/. Story
Sam was originally rescued in July 2022 in Austin, TX. According to his chip he was born in Jan 2019 making him 6 years old. He is the sweetest little guy (26 lbs). Great with people of all ages and kids! Loves to say hi to everyone on walks! He is independent but loves a few quick cuddles here and there. Great listener. Loves to fetch tennis balls, hikes, long walks, car rides, and chasing squirrels and bunnies. Energy level is moderate and he is very easy going for the most part. He is highly attuned making sensitive to noise (fireworks) or intense/heightened emotions. My work is requiring me to travel more and for longer periods of time and my immediate family who has been helping me can no longer help take care of him. Ideal home for him would be someone/family member who works remotely/home often, is loving, emotionally balanced and knows how to care for sensitive natured animals, can take him for two moderate length walks per day (minimum) and has a fenced in yard.

Story
Hi, my name is Roan. I'm a 5-year-old male Roan Brittany with mixed colors of brown, and white. I am creative, crate trained and house-trained. Despite my age, I am mature beyond my years. While very friendly, I am not very active and would prefer to hang out in the house or on the sofa. Although I'm only five 5 years old, my foster mom calls me an old soul. She seems to have this fantasy that I would enjoy hanging out on the sofa watching reruns of Lawrence Welk. She also seems to have this idea that I would like past TV episodes of Rin Tin Tin.  With my first family, I lived with my sister. She was a bully, and I put up with her behavior for years. When we were surrendered to a foster home, through no fault of our own, I decided that I was not going to put up with her giving me such a hard time. I defended myself and she got the message that she had gone too far. Thankfully, I was separated from my sister. Today I prefer to be alone and would do well as only one dog.  I am easy going and like to stop and smell the flowers. I enjoy meeting new people especially women. They think I'm handsome. Sometimes, I like to picture myself as a gentleman, opening doors for pretty human ladies or presenting them with bouquets of colorful flowers. I do not run around and play on my own. To avoid weight gain I will need to be exercised. Dog parks and daycare are not possible for me. I really don't know how well I would get along with cats. I do well walking on a leash, although I still pull a bit. However, with training and persistence, I will easily overcome this. I don't have any bad habits and I'm not picky about food. I'm up to date on all my vaccines as well as being heartworm- negative and micro-chipped.  My foster mom will tell you that I have a calm and well-mannered disposition, all of which is true. I'm looking forward to living in a home surrounded by love.   Please contact the TN coordinators below for more information on Roan. Nemo! Nemo is a curious, active, playful boy much like his namesake and America’s fave fish, Nemo. He was born on or around 2/21. Nemo’s mama is a Brittany Spaniel mix and I’d put money on his dad being a heeler mix. He has the most adorable freckles! Nemo is looking for a fun home to keep his busy body occupied. Nemo is learning all the basics of crate and house training. He’s even cat friendly, too!
