Meme was rescued from the shelter with some of her comedy pals after her former home surrendered her due to a lack of space. Meme weighs 30 pounds and she is just ready for a life of adventure and laughs with you! If you’ve been looking for a laugh in the dark winter days, come meet Meme today!      Meme is a wonderful chill gal who is ready to make you laugh for hours and hours! She just wants to shower you in love and get that love back in return. She is very smart and food motivated so she has been a breeze to train as a houseguest. She even likes to give kisses as you pet her soft fur. She adores her humans and would be so happy to spend her life taking on adventures by your side. However, Meme is also happy to keep herself occupied when she needs to. She has amazing zoomies and is even working on learning how to play fetch. Toys are kind of new for her but she’s picking up playtime like a total champ. Meme would be a great companion for hikes, walks, errands, you name it! She does very well in the car so she would even be a fabulous road trip buddy for all the bucket list items you have planned. She just wants to wag her tail and be with you for everything to come! This loving girl can’t wait to charm you from the moment you meet her, she promises to make your life complete!  Meme starts her day around 8 AM and goes right outside for a potty break. She then comes back inside for breakfast before hopping into the car to participate in school drop off. When she returns home she hangs out while her foster mom gets some work done before her afternoon walk. She chills out and plays with her toys. She then goes on the afternoon school pickup run before playing in the yard. Dinner is served at 6 PM and then she spends the rest of the evening hanging out until bed.  Meme currently lives with a smaller pup and they get along well. She adores humans and would be a perfect pup for a busy household. Meme is working on her leash walking skills. She is house trained and crate trained. Meme is just such a happy girl and we are so excited to find her forever humans!     Meme is an option for just about any home, regardless of prior experience. Kids should be over the age of 5.January 27, 2025, 6:02 pm

Story
Poppy is an adorable young pup who came into rescue with an injured leg. We didn’t know the extent of the injury – would she need surgery? Would she possibly lose the leg? Would the leg recover? Poppy had a consultation with the orthopedic surgeon, and the outlook is good! It’s the type of injury that might heal without surgery, so the plan is 6 weeks of strict rest, and then reassess. If things are on track, no surgery. If the leg is not healing properly, then we’ll move forward with surgery, which is estimated at $8,500 to $9,900, and 10 weeks of cage rest. We’ll know in early October if Poppy will need surgery. Keep your fingers and paws crossed for Poppy! Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Poppy's been up to, check out her posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs.
