Story
Juliet is an 6 year old adorable full tailed girl.  She loves other dogs and currently is helping her brother get around and he has developed vision problems.  She does like her exercise time outside and likes her personal time with her human. Juliet would do better with another dog or a human that makes her their whole world.  She enjoys doing Brittany things like checking out her yard and chasing what she can find plus lying in the sun.  She will need a secure yard with a 6 foot fence. Juliet enjoys sleeping with her humans and being loved on, telling her she is a special girl and her tail makes her more beautiful. Juliet is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  She  will do fine in a home without  young children as she has never experienced them and they can be intimating. A home with older, responsible children should be fine.  She is not cat friendly so no home with cats. Please consider adding this sweet girl to your home. Juliet’s adoption fee is $350.00.  If you are interested in making Juliet a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Juliet is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from LA with the last leg (100) being driven by the adopter.    December 14, 2024, 8:03 pm

Story
Nelli (or Nelli Belly) is a sweet, spayed ,10-year-old female who enjoys daily walks, playing fetch, and car rides.   Nelli’s mom was a Brittany but she takes after her Border Collie dad in size (48 pounds) and looks.  Nelli’s new family should be active and prepared to commit to throwing a ball for her and including her in their activities.   She is quite agile and energetic and will need a home with a yard secured by a  6-foot fence.  She is house trained, knows several commands, and is good with guests. Nelli is currently living with a foster family that includes two adults and an older male Brittany. Nelli is well-behaved and has been left loose in the house with no problems. She keeps tabs on her people and likes to lay by her foster mom’s chair when she works from home. Ideally her family would be home more often than not, perhaps retired or working remotely. Other dogs may be ok as long as they aren’t too alpha.  Nelli would love to have a dog to play with who understands and accepts her vocalizing while playing.  Nelli’s experience with cats is unknown.  Her behavior around children is also not known, although her foster family suggests she would be best in a home with active adults that could include older children. Nelli is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Nelli’s adoption fee is $175.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Nelli a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.   Nelli is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from Boise with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Betty is an approximately two-year old Brittany with a tail.  She is very energetic, loves people, is very affectionate, and gets along well with mellow dogs.  When Betty came into rescue she had a painful, chronically infected, congenitally blind eye.  After consultation with the vet, NBRAN had the defective eye removed and Betty has thrived now that she is out of pain.  Because of the blindness in her one eye, we will not place Betty in a home with young children or overly active dogs who could startle her.   Betty is a bigger brit and weights close to 50 pounds.  She is current on her vaccinations, HW negative, spayed, housebroken, and crate-trained.     Betty will need a home with a good-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence so she can run her favorite zoomies.  A yard with trees and bushes for birds would be heaven for Betty because she is very birdy and loves to go on point.  She will need an active adopter or family that will provide the daily exercise she needs.  Betty would do well with a regular walker or runner.  Her new owner will be expected to continue working with her on leash work and manners.  The adoption fee for Betty $400.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making Betty a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab. Betty is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from central CA with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Figge, pronounced FIG.  Also affectionately known as Figge Newton.  Figge is a 1 1/2 year old, 45 pound, orange and white, neutered, purebred Brittany with a long tail.  His young spirit requires an active family that will meet his high energy, desire to exercise, and love for fun.  Figge is squirrel obsessed!  Chase them, dart after them, and even clear a 5ft fence if he has the chance.  Figge's yard MUST BE a 6ft fence, iron, cinder block, or a townhome with no fence would be preferred.  This youngster is very athletic and most certainly will keep you on your toes!  But, what young Brittany doesn't?  What does this mean?  Figge needs lots of exercise and someone committed to his future training.     After his physical needs are met, he is Mr. Chill.  He is one of the mushiest Britts you will ever meet.  Figge is extremely affectionate and loves everyone.  He is happy to sit on the couch with you while you read, lay in bed and watch Netflix or just cuddle.  He adores the teenagers at his foster family and would love kids of his own, that are older and considerate.  His spunky nature could easily knock over a young child, so the preference is 10 years and up.  Figge is such a good boy!     Figge needs another dog in the home.  He does not care what breed, but his future sibling must be able to match his energy and play style.  He has learned basic commands like sit, wait, down, and even shake.  He is a fast learner and would make a great companion for obedience or agility.  He is so smart and ready for his next adventure with his forever people.       He rides great in the car, is potty trained, crate trained and is pretty good on the leash.  He acts like a Walmart greeter when out walking, as he loves to say HI! to all dogs and humans.  Since he is a youngster, still in the chew phase, he is only crated when the foster family leaves the house as he is not 100% trustworthy with toys yet.  Figge can only have indestructible toys like Kongs, Goughtnuts, Westpaw, Tuffy, hard rubber ChuckIt balls and supervised puzzle games.   He loves ice cubes and will come running to the kitchen when he hears the dispenser.     The adoption fee for Figge, who lives in Highlands Ranch, CO is $400,  which helps offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Figge a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting  www.nbran.org .    Your state coordinator/volunteer will conduct a phone interview, home visit and vet check as part of the approval process.  Once all 3 have been approved, we will begin the matching process.        Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.   December 16, 2024, 8:56 pm

Story
NBRAN took a Brittany/Aussie mix into rescue along with her puppy that is only a quarter Brittany.  Skye would love to have a family of her own.  She is 11 months old and a Brittany/Aussie/Poodle/ Maltese mix weighing 13 pounds. Until Skye becomes accustomed to her home and people she is meek and startles easily.  The first week or two she will hide in her crate.  Her new family will need to allow her to come to them.  As she becomes more secure, her silly personality will come out and energy will show. She loves to play with another dog that is not to aggressive or ruff. She lived with other dogs in her previous home and an older girl. We do not recommend a house with small children or super active children.  Due to her shy demeanor, a calm home is preferred. Skye is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and finishing her vaccines.  She needs a fenced yard and a secure home.  She is housebroken and crate trained.  Her adoption fee is 350.00. If interested in Skye a home, please complete an adoption application.        December 6, 2024, 9:54 pm
