Story
Meet Chovy, a 7-8-year-old neutered male Brittany Spaniel with a charming brown and white coat, weighing 14kg. This sweet boy was rescued from a euthanasia, and now he’s ready to find his forever home. Chovy is incredibly social and affectionate, not just with familiar faces but also with strangers. He’ll happily approach people, nuzzle up, and enjoys being petted. His love for humans knows no bounds—he adores both men and women alike. While he hasn’t had interactions with children under 13, his gentle and easygoing nature suggests he’d do just fine. You can even scoop him up with your arms under his belly—he’s perfectly comfortable with that! When it comes to other dogs, Chovy is friendly and polite. He’ll say hello to unfamiliar dogs but doesn’t engage in play. His relaxed energy means he prefers to steer clear of high-energy pups, often opting to focus on people instead. Cats and birds don’t faze him either—on walks, he stays tuned in to his human companions, ignoring distractions. Chovy has a calm and low-energy disposition, making him the perfect lounging buddy. He’s a dream on the leash, with plenty of walking experience and no pulling. He’s also easygoing with his resources—no food or toy guarding here! Chovy rarely barks, behaves well in a crate, and primarily prefers to do his business outside. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who’s a joy to walk and loves hanging out with people, Chovy is your guy! Does he sound like the right companion for you? Send in your application today through our websitehttps://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ View more photos and videos of Chovy on Facebook: Link to Post Chovy can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Story
Meet Cooper! Cooper is a 7 year old German Short Haired Pointer. He's medium large in size, and is just the sweetest old boy you could ever imagine.Cooper was surrendered to the Kamloops Branch through no fault of his own. He was then transferred all the way to the Sunshine Coast Branch, where he currently is, through the drive-for-lives program. He can be a little bit shy at first, but he warms up to people quickly.Cooper may be a little older, but he has lots of energy still, and is a strong dog. He has been known to enjoy chasing cats, and though we haven't seen this behaviour, it is worth noting that reactivity to other dogs is mentioned in his file. Due to these points, Cooper is best suited to be the only pet in the home. This intelligent, sweet boy has so much love to give. He is a world class snuggler, and would love nothing more than to relax beside you at home on a rainy day. Cooper gets excited when he makes new friends or recognizes an old friend, and will do the most adorable tippy tap dance to signal his happiness! He's the cutest.** Cooper had a dental surgery on Nov 29th, and is awaiting a recheck on Dec 13th, so he is not quite ready for adoption yet. He is available for Foster-To-Adopt until he gets his medical clearance post-surgery! **If you feel you could offer Cooper a peaceful, loving retirement, please follow the steps below to apply for adopt.
